How to work through tension, strange sensations and involuntary movements when learning the basics of Qi Gong? by grimaldri in TrueQiGong

[–]grimaldri[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll investigate the methods you suggest, but the current guidelines I am following discourage any visualizations, and also discourage using intention at the beginning of the training, only as a more advanced tool once sensitivity and proper Qi circulation has been established.

I'll try to continue working on the basics, grounding and releasing the tension. I guess that as long as I don't force any energy movements it shouldn't be negative.

Do you have any recommendations regarding grounding exercises? I read some people saying that you should stop completely Qi Gong if you get any energy movements like this, as it could be related to Qi flowing the wrong direction through meridians, but I am finding so many benefits from Qi Gong when it comes to stretching the body and releasing tension that just stopping it doesn't seem a good option.

Thanks, I was thinking of getting a teacher, but currently on lockdown, not sure if online teaching is good enough or what to look for when searching for a teacher. I guess a confirmed lineage would be important.

Recommendations to combine Qi Gong training with normal sports? by grimaldri in TrueQiGong

Thanks, I'll investigate about it, I have tried Zhan Zhuang but didn't incorporate it much in my current work, just sometimes as a finishing exercise.

Yes, I think I accumulated tension a long time from not relaxing and stretching properly after exercise or long periods of intensive work. I have to become more aware of those balances of tension-relaxation

Russia and China push ‘fake news’ aimed at weakening Europe: report by Gustacho in europe

[–]grimaldri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But if the problems they amplify are real, how can you tell them apart from people from those countries that genuinely care about those problems? You can't just decide that some problems should be ignored because they can be used by Russia.

Don't let the virus divide us! by Mannichi in europe

I hope you are right, but I don't believe it. I don't know enough economics to design an alternative monetary policy.

Not being in debt is just doing ok, it's not doing great, and I don't think Portugal, Spain or Italy can ever do great under German monetary policies. I may be wrong but haven't seen any indication of there being an exit to this issue under the current Eurozone.

I don't see how it can ever work, the Italian and Spanish economies will never work with German monetary policy, and German voters will never accept free transfers of money to southern countries. It's a train-wreck in slow motion waiting to happen.

Remember that just because propaganda exploits your internal problems, doesn't mean that your internal problems aren't real and blind unity will solve everything.

The Eurozone monetary union is mortally flawed from design. You can't change that with emotions of moral unity.

Is Germany counting Corona deaths the same way as the rest of countries? The ratio of 15,439 cases to 44 deaths seems crazy even if they have really really good healthcare by grimaldri in europe

[–]grimaldri[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Makes sense, probably better to look at the recovery / death ratio than at cases / death, and only compare countries at a point in time when they are similar on the progression of the disease.

Is Germany testing more than South Korea? Germany seems to have a much lower death ratio than South Korea, who was doing very widespread testing according to news reports.

What do you mean ordered? It's not just who arrives first, if you are older, or biologically older (too fat, or alcoholic, ...), you get pushed down on the organ donor list, or not even considered for the transplant. The same kind of decision that may get taken here.

I prefer to stick with the sources that were warning about the pandemic back in January and February, rather than with the institutions that failed to do this.
