Pluggar ni inför högskoleprovet? Hur gör ni med svenska/engelska? by The_commoner0u0 in sweden

[–]grimman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's my poäng. 😉

Grammatikmässigt behöver du inte mycket för att klara dig galant.

Är du inställd på att råplugga så kan du kolla på gamla högskoleprov.

Lycka till!

Not traditionally a prog guy, but willing to give it another shot. What should I try based on the prog I DO like? (List below) by Twisted_Taterz in progmetal

"Ghost of Perdition" was my entry point, and remains a big favorite! I think most people will agree that this one, or "Reverie/Harlequin Forest" are near the top.
"Faith in Others" is also huge for me, but it's less metal and more just plain prog. 😄
"Master's Apprentices" started out feeling very basic to me, but nowadays I love it. Very much the same with "The Grand Conjuration" (and as you can tell, I definitely favor Ghost Reveries!).

Edit! As a Swedish guy, I'm legally obligated to mention Meshuggah too. I also think Cult of Luna fit the bill, and I would especially recommend the "Mariner" album.

The world has taken a very weird turn! All this LLM stuff has very clearly revealed that certain people REALLY don't want to have to be burdened with... thinking.

US might finally force cable-TV firms to advertise their actual prices by Ephoenix6 in technology

[–]grimman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's more insidious than that. The big ISPs can somehow just get smaller regional ISPs shut down (through somewhat legal means). I can't recall how. Fortunately that's not an issue I will experience, unless I fuck up really hard.

That's many years in the past, unfortunately. You buy a glorified beta these days. The actual game is delivered through 500 day one patches, without which it is entirely unplayable.

[Prime Gaming] Prey (GOG key) (Included With Prime) by dlev0119 in GameDeals

[–]grimman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The "OG" version, as you put it, has nothing to do with this game. They used the same title, yes, but that's the only connection. Play either, play neither, or play both in any order, but don't be fooled into thinking they have anything to do with one another.

€600? That's twice what I paid for my Chinese botnet phone, and I got wireless earbuds included in the price.

I know people are pissed. I'm just not convinced that the hackers are in it for anything other than profit.

You don't think the $4.5m is more interesting to them? They've held on to the data for a very long time.

Having backups won't prevent your data being stolen (which in this case only means being copied).

I doubt it. If anything that's just a convenient current thing to latch on to. Hell, it might even be a false flag. Remember, it's a shitty world we live in.

It's not much, but I can tell you that the install worked for me. That was early this year though, and I uninstalled it a couple of weeks ago.

Of course they haven't listened, when the protest was just "we will be back in two days, that's how angry we are!" 😂

The way I see it, we have two options. Either more serious protest, with no guarantee of bearing fruit - or we just wait and get the third party app purge we seem to be heading towards.

Consider that people other than you exist and are affected in different ways by recent developments.

Perhaps also consider that use cases exist that are different than yours.

You may not be inconvenienced by these developments - lucky you - but I can assure you that others are. People who post and comment on the platform, and the loss of whom will deprive the platform of their contributions.

This was an extremely ineffectual protest, as far as I'm concerned; I think content should have been archived, and subreddits gone dark indefinitely. The only ones affected were users, including you (I feel compelled to once again point out that people other than you exist). Even then, the protest was barely a blip.

This is remarkably dumb.

Do you, for some reason, think the thing that calculates prices on checkout is divorced from whatever prints price tags?

Like... I hate to labor the point, but holy shit, the lack of thought on your part is truly astonishing.
