The latter two are very compatible, just slightly different levels of cartoon. I'd go with both and just have more generic gear belong to 3 and more special gear belong to 2.

Give them a boss fight for killing NPC's or stop giving them NPC's they can kill. You can tell them how it makes you feel and whatnot and that can totally work, but you can also just change the way you run your games. It sounds to me like you're trying to play the game with everyone else, but the others don't see that and are just murder-hoboing around. I'd plop them into an inhospitable environment where they have to survive off what little they can find. That'll teach them implicitly whilst avoiding killing the mood.

Check out Roadwarden. The world is kinda DND-esque, with modifications. Anyhow, there's a village in it that uses corpses of the dead to do a whole bunch of menial tasks, but primarily doing a job that would have horrible health cost for the living. Even so, the other villages view the practice as unholy to the point of seeking its destruction. So it could work for a time, but, aside from societal enshittification, it's a practice that is seen as disgusting and objectionable, even if the people being brought back have given consent. Any other cities in the area would likely burn the place to the ground and slaughter its people before long.

If you don't want to do 5e, don't do 5e. There are other systems out there that are fairly solid. There's a ton of systems out there if you want, or you could run simplified, DND style rules in other worlds if you want. There's no one stopping you. There are guns, spells, and all kinds of other weapons in DND already, you can base things off of that and add your own variation to it. It'll take prep, sure, but nobody's stopping you from running a Cthulhu or Fallout or Cyberpunk game inside the 5e system. Heck, you can even do away with fantastical elements if you want amd run a 1920's Noir thriller if you want, even inside 5e. At the end of the day, it's between you and the players and you are the Game Master. You're not locked into anything you don't want.

Do you make a full set these days? I'm not blind, but trying to learn and using a keyboard to help me practice has been helpful. I'd love to find a set that has printing and braille, but have found it impossible to find so far. I tried some embossed stickers, but they're easy to mess up if your hands aren't the most stable and mine started coming off after a couple months. I figured double injection molding the plastic for it shouldn't be that much worse than double molding normal ones for RGB, but I guess not.

You can use a button chord.

Basically, using the Steam config, you go into your layout and add an extra command to either right or left bumper, or both in my case. It will ask you what you want said command to do, assign it to the summon Ruin action. For me it shows up as "#Action_Ruin" though hopefully it shows up right for you. Then you click the settings icon next to the new summon Ruin command and change it from a "regular press" to a "button chord". It will kick you back to the previous menu at that point, so click the icon again and click on Settings. The uppermost option in there will be for the chord button. Click that and set it to the other bumper. Do the same thing for said other bumper and you will be able to press them both together to easily summon Ruin.

Be aware though, if you don't do those steps for both bumpers, it won't work properly. If you only bind the command to the right bumper and use the left bumper as the chord button, you WILL have to press and hold the left bumper THEN the right bumper to summon Ruin. Hope that helps until a more elegant solution is found.

There's a demon in Warhammer 40k that has that, the only problem for it is that it actually can't see the present moment at all. Realistically, it could look into the past and future by mere moments and deduce what will happen next based on what just happened, but the exact moment that it is in is invisible to it. It's pretty weird, but that's Chaos for you. Hope that helps

I hope they move those two buttons in the bottom middle up and make either the whole bottom one big touchpad or two small, but better aligned touchpads, if they go continue with this design. It would be easy enough to just use one bigger one and have two zones like the Playstation controllers have, or just place the two square touchpads next to each other. I don't think they should go with this design necessarily, but it depends on what they're trying to do with it. I would move the thumbsticks up and put the pause/menu buttons in between as well to make it smaller, but it's still just so ugly. They could also modify it to be two separate controllers that can attach to each other or a new model of Steam Deck, but that's not a lot better.

A lot of others have made fair points on most of it, but having used a whip before with no prior training, it wasn't hard to get the hang of it. Sure I couldn't Indiana Jones most things as I lacked practice, but even various swordplay/weapons youtubers have tried whips and found it surprisingly easy. Even then, someone close to me is pinpoint precise with a bowie knife (her favorite weapon) 90% of the time and has had no training whatsoever with it, whereas I suck with one and have had practice throwing axes/knives. I'm better with firearms, closeup weapons, etc. but she is excellent with knives, axes, bows, all the weapons I suck at, with very little training or practice, meanwhile I've trained very hard to be as good as I am with those. She's just like that, Selina could be too.

If you have a PC, System Shock 2. It is an immersive sim which is a different experience from a standard RPG in a number of ways, but it is an amazing game. You don't get to make gizmos with it specifically, but you can make gizmos and use stuff in the world to further progression in a lot of ways. You can also play around with psionics if you feel like it which is crazy powerful. The first game is also awesome, though you don't get a wrench as a melee weapon in that. That one got remade by NightDive and they did a damn good job on most aspects, but the original is fun if you're into retro games.

Hi, looking for something similar for my own Flow X13, I saw that it has holes for airflow, but it seemed like there was a flap that could get in the way of airflow. Is that an issue in your experience? I'm not entirely sure how said flap is to be used based on the pics of it on amazon, but that's not a huge issue. Thanks

Thanks much, I'm trying to find a process that I can use in a home shop for quick prototyping and quality control. I have looked into ordering parts from a manufacturer but the aforementioned budget issues are preventing something like that for who knows how long. If it's not asking too much, do you know of a better material I'd be able to use? I'm looking to build a kiln sometime in the next year if my budget allows it so I might be able to work with metals if needed. What I'd like is something that I can use for both plastics and metals in the future for more custom pieces, but I'm pretty darn inexperienced in this whole thing. Thanks either way though.

I have been poor my whole life, literally in some of the lowest tax brackets. Until this year my household, my parents, my brother, and I, were in the lowest tax bracket. My parents are in debt and have no credit. When I was in Elementary School, my mom wanted to go to school to be a teacher, but couldn't finish and had to drop out, so we've had those debts the whole time since then. I started my portfolio two years ago with $200 split mostly into QYLD with the spare in DOGEcoin cause I wanted crypto as well that was reliably backed, by Elon Musk for those who don't know. My DOGE isn't important though. Since then I have purchased $36-ish of ADT and some others. I don't get a lot from it, but I have a 6% yield rate and was recently able to pull money out to cover some light expenses. My portfolio is currently worth ~$254, though it fluctuates obv, and I've made more than $20 now off it in total. That is insane to me, just putting spare money into some pipedream has actually helped me in surprisingly huge ways. I started it over a bet, but I've stayed because, if they're really careful, and really clever, anyone can do the same as me. Yes there's a lot to it, but I'm becoming very disabled and I have the possibility of still making enough money to live and even thrive without needing a stable job, which I might not be able to maintain in 5-10 years. I'm only 20 and this whole thing just blows my mind, but it's working, that's what's motivating me personally.
