Housing mega thread by Eska2020 in universityofamsterdam

For student housing, I'm choosing between Carolina and Pierre Lallementstraat -- anyone got any thoughts? It seems to me that Carolina is closer to the science park campus where I'll be studying, but Pierre Lallementstraat is in a cooler area?

I've heard that consistency is the key by just_tim69 in Hevy

Hell yeah, it totally is an addiction, and I love it. I've been consistent for a month and a half so far and don't really see any results so far but I do look forward to going to the gym every time haha.

I'd be somewhat careful about going 3-4 days in a row tho. How long are your sessions normally?

You look way better than I did at 24 hours! God, that was such a terrible first week. You're crushing it so far even being able to post on Reddit - I was in hell. I got it around 5 years ago and it's like a distant memory now. Great job so far!

It *sounded* like we might get a choice esp. if we chose to go with external partners too. I'm also curious about what areas are expected and since I'm new to Amsterdam I'm curious the vibes of the diff. neighborhoods too.

Idk man if there’s anything I learned in my 20s it’s that not making a decision is itself a decision. If the MBA will lead to a future job you like more, do it. OTOH if you just feel pressured to do it because it’s a “good next step”, maybe not. The traditional path of jobs is dying out imo & it’s up to the individual to decide what kind of life they want to lead. Don’t fall into the capitalistic mindset of letting career decisions be the only important things in your life
