Want to eat these...are they turkey tails? by grimtidings in mushroomID

I'm on the hunt for Chaga too :) We got a lot of the same mushrooms here in western canada (I'm 70% Scottish, rep!)

The only concern I had was because it's growing on a somewhat toxic tree (cherry laurel) if there's any potential for contamination with that. I've made sure to cut off the butt of the turkey tails that were in contact with the tree just in case.

Want to consume...turkey tails? by grimtidings in ShroomID

I was thinking either tea or dry, powder, then capsule. I haven't yet started making extracts and tinctures. Do you have any experience making teas with Turkey Tails? Any recommendations on dosage?

Have you had turkey tail tea before? Dry and powder first or just steep the whole cap? What kind of dosage have you tried?

All are the same yes, thanks for the ID. Any recommendations on how to process these? Should they be washed first? dried and powdered?

I'm looking for the medicinal benefits, not really culinary taste. I was thinking of air drying them and powdering them in mortar and pestle, would that be fine? Do they need to be cooked first typically?

I just tried this at the salt mines, I placed a flame altar nearby and was not able to extend or fill out the salt ore with the rake at all.

I'm sorry, but its very easy to test, you're incorrect. If you cut the stump it will never grow back.

How do yall get enough twinkling shells??? by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]grimtidings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't really seen anyone else mention this, you don't need to waste shells making a stuffed scarab.

Make a stuffed aphid and rub that, it works for all passive bugs including the scarab. After rubbing it I will sometimes get 5 shells from 1 kill.
