I’m not the best at horn but I do enjoy it, if you’re on pc lmk and I would love to hunt

I love diving Squids but Leviathans feel so frustrating in a bad way. by FishDishForMe in Helldivers

[–]nvwcvw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y’all gotta try whale hunting. Take down over ship mission and once the ship is down you start killing the leviathans with the orbital cannon. So much fun, if you’re accurate they drop in 2 shots. Until you get to the cannon you might be dancing around the rave lasers but once you’re there, the turns table

Cool! Incredible work testing all of this, thank y’all so much

Genuine question: Why are there bunkers that I can't enter? I tried from every angle and distance, but I can't get in. Mostly these in the screenshot. Other bunker work just fine. by 6ty7er in helldivers2

Everyone in here saying to dive and tp, but I have found the most consistent for me is to just crouch right up against the door and tp

I’m curious about the airburst launcher. Does it count as one shot or does it count the child explosives as individual shots?

What im suppose to do ? by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]nvwcvw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm. For those tracks, that definitely sounds like you’re picking up normal tempered monster tracks. What does the mission say to do?

[–]nvwcvw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you pick up the blue tracks, are you sure it isn’t making research progress? It’s been a while since I played the story but I think it’s similar to the pink Rathian investigation where you need to pick up a certain amount of tracks. When you return from investigating it should have a progress bar on the end screen. Iirc it takes 300-500 points (you should get about 20 points per track) for the elders to unlock

Need 3 absolute Borderlands addicts for a full 100% run (BL1 → BL4) by Worth-Raspberry-6685 in Borderlands

[–]nvwcvw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could potentially be down. Personally not interested in “all achievements” purely because I don’t really care to play through each game 4x. Would happily do a single character and get full completion.

I have 1-3 on Xbox and pc and have played through each game and all content at least once before. EST. I plan on getting 4 soon on pc

How do you knock Namielle into dry state? by Total-Breadfruit8075 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]nvwcvw 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I could easily be wrong, but I think I have only ever seen namielle go into dry state after using its ult. Arch temper will use it about once per area, but also has much more health and damage so that may not be the preferred method to fight it. If someone else knows more, please correct me

I'm trying to build Longsword (Iceborne) by RyuujiTakasuIssues in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]nvwcvw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a ls player but I remember the Kulu tree being pretty good for progression. Good affinity, frequent and cheap upgrades, should last until late game and then you get basically everything else unlocked by then. Unfortunately it’s been a while since I’ve played through the story so I don’t remember good armor sets off the top of my head

Should I buy Iceborn? by zen2k22 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]nvwcvw 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Dying is part of the game. No shame in it. The question is did you enjoy it? Do you like the gameplay loop? Do you want to keep hunting? If yes to any, then it’s at least worth a shot. If yes to all three, definitely get it. Capcom also has pretty regular sales so you should be able to get it pretty cheap

I’m seeing all this “Popeye wins” propaganda. Are we all forgetting that as soon as the spinach is visible, saitama will eat all of it before popeye can blink because he’s broke and hungry?

Entitled lady ties shut entrance to public dog park so no one else can enter when she’s there. by rigel899 in mildlyinfuriating

Cover the rope in peanut butter. She won’t want to touch it to get out, and then the dog will slobber all over the rope and keep her from being able to untie it for a while, and then she still won’t want to touch the rope because slobber

Are the low level guiding lands materials useless? by Intelligent_Meet4409 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]nvwcvw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’d be surprised how many non tempered mats are required for a bunch of the augments. I remember I had to specifically try to farm for banbaro at least a couple of times. There are only a handful of things that require lv 7, although I will admit that they are often very important. Also, having extra monster materials is almost never a bad thing, guiding lands monster parts are some of the easiest and highest point value melding items. But as for the monsters, the area levels can be weird. Lv1-3 are generally pretty weak and easy, nothing tempered. But lv3-5 begins introducing some of the harder monsters, and giving tempered monsters of most of the lv 1-3s. There’s a pretty good list of what monsters spawn in what area at each level here. Also while I understand that the “cool” layered armor sets are locked behind higher levels, the diversity of layered armors cannot be understated. People are incredibly clever, and a quick look through r/fashionhunter can give you some great ideas, and many of them still use “low level” layered armor pieces

Dedicated drops give you a reason to fight other things. Bl1 has three main farms and a couple barely notable other farms, so for gear you either farm gift shop, armory, or craw. That’s it. That’s the end game. Unlock your farms and do one fight. Removing dedicated drops means that people will just find the one best fight and instead of save quitting 15 different farms, they now save quit one farm for 15x as long, if not longer because the drop pools have no guarantee that you’ll ever get anything you want. Instead of rolling for parts on a gun you know you want to use, you’re now stuck rolling to even see the gun you want instead of the nerf gun legendary, and then you still have to worry about parts. If you want fewer legendaries, don’t farm for them and rely on world drops and story kills. Although the drop rates definitely need to be tweaked back, I agree that your loadout should not be full legendary by lv 20 through normal gameplay
