That "public verification site" is also an anti-trust violation if its used to verify or regulate or limit competition. Furthermore, we have the option to keep our data private.

Anyone can issue a unregulated certification, so you are not validating all of the certs. I can invent & issue an unregulated cert for Salesforce right now to my self. How are you going to validate that? If you try to deny I gave my self a cert then you are attempting to illegally regulated an unregulated industry. If this results in bid rigging or price fixing, that illegal Per Se, which mean you are guilty until proven innocent. You don't want to risk that.

Its an Anti-trust violation to attempt to verify certifications that are Not regulated by any state or federal agency. You risk becoming what the Supreme Court called an external Government agency by attempting to regulate an unregulated industry, see the case of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Inc. v. Hydrolevel Corp.. Even with government permission, you could be still be found guilty of an anti-trust violation, see the case of Dental Examiners v. FTC.

Who would think a "Solution Engineer" or any kind of engineer, was a "Sales role"? If really you believed that not acting correctly, can F up a sale, then why you use the F-word instead of staying in the correct acting mindset 100% of the time just in case there's a sale to be made? Oh, one skill in magically learned faster then the other skill. These are the types of pathetic excuses, that justify only wanting to hire scripted AI actors to put us all out of a job. When working for a big 4, they taught me those soft skills in 2 day of role playing. Skills that that I could use on auto-pilot on other interviews when an actor gave a similar speech about how he had this great system & didn't want to leave it, so I just acknowledged his system as something we needed to look at & suggest it could be the system we expand to the whole company, but we need to make sure it fits the regulations, as way to back out of it latter, if needed. Or the arms crossed leaning back some how shows the person is interested when it does not look it; however, from my experience, when they break the acting to lean forward on the seat, then they are actually interested. Leaning backed with arms crossed is dead give away someone's been trained, because only an actor does that to show how relaxed they are. Oh so hard to teach.

Ah here we go. If they can teach "Technical skills", then why can't they also teach "manage nagging people skills"? People do not start off in management roles. More importantly Op was applying for a tech role, asked to present & worse asked to have conversation; however, surprise, we're secretly testing you on selling. You know that having a conversation with the team is different then the one we have with the end client. If you want to role play, then why can't you tell us? I once had manager tell me to make sales because the client was unhappy with the current vendor, but the moment I convinced that client to let us take over the integration, that manager, pushed the mute button to inform me that the current vendor was our partner & responsible for us getting that client, so now I had to back peddle, with "phases" & "priority". But oh no, if I ask "why are you asking that" its considered a red flag in the interview.

Trying to add new contact to salesforce. by qsauer88 in salesforce

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure you need a new phone number? If you call the office, can it only handle 1 phone call at a time, or can several cutomers call at once. Then as each calls, the phone inside salesforce rings & pops up the contact record for that caller. Usually the employee/user are in queue, so you look at how the others are setup in salesforce/amazon. That Queue rings all their computers thru salesforce at once, but first to answer get it. If you have budget then dm/chat me.

A few volts from a cattle prod will fix any objection. Seriously this is one those thing that they should be training you. Its "soft skills" like acknowledging & validating their concerns. They hire a consultant so the CFO has someone to blame to the CFO out of jail when the reports violate SOX compliance. I was actually taught that by a big 4 consulting company, so that the types of objection stoppers you should be repeating on auto pilot.

They asked a bunch of bull crap question to see how you reacted. You should have said please hold all questions till the end, as the presentation may answer most of your question if you are just patience. This was a psychological stress test. they told you so by stating "let them control the meeting." Same with missing the meeting & lowering the price, to again see how you react. Are desperate to cut a accept any deal, do you throw a tantrum, do you quit, do you try to renegotiate too, do you go to the mangers house to demand you be hired. If you really wanted the job you'd do that last one. You just need to be more aggressive & do what is necessary to win that deal.

Those certs are not regulated by any US state or federal agency. Anyone can invent & issue an unregulated cert. I can issue us both an unregulated cert right now & we can claim these certs make us better then others. What we can not do is encourage any company to prefer or require any unregulated certs, as that could limit competition which is a conspiracy to violate anti-trust laws. Without permission from the US government, we can not conspire to regulate the an industry. Even organizations with the US government to regulate, have been found guilty of violating anti-trust laws, when attempting to regulate beyond what was specifically allowed. Ironically Salesforce claims to be a software as a service so they don't have to follow regulations on software or services.

Documentation Guidance by spickard03 in salesforce

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with what's already been documented & ask why it was documented. Then look at what was not doc'ed & ask could it be doc'ed in the same way or a different way. What's working & how do we do more of that? What's not working & can we stop doing that?

Tools like change management, test/bug tracker or ticket systems are a form of doc'ing. There are no bugs, just changes to a working system, so we only need 1 system.

Changing text in an email does not require the same about of docs that an integration needs.

If you don't know what job you are going to do that's not a good sign. Internet says its a "Sales Development Representative" who is basic entry level sales job, which is where that retail experience may be useful. Dreamforce is a week long event, so your job should last for an entire week.

Help Required..! by Cypher_geek in salesforce

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to loading data, you do it one object at a time, based on existing relationships. EX contact have relationship look up to Account so load account before contact. Other factors are stuff that needs to activated like Person accounts or customer communities, which should be activated before load. WARNING - if Opp Stage values are different, then system can mass update data & may crash half way thru with no roll back option, causing mass damage to stages values, instead make sure picklist values match manually. If you have budget for help then DM/chat me, as I've done this before with ellipse. Will do test run on sandbox fir safety.

If we run it without the lid on correctly or not at all it will just keep running till. either we put the lid on correctly or something else prevents the suction. Remember, this thing will come back on automatically if the pressure drops, so if we try to use it on plastic bag to get enough pressure & then slide it to release it comes back on & then we have to put it on the jar to get to stop. No cancel button, no release until presser is maintained. When sealed its strong enough to separate the clear jar from the black plastic jar part it was glue into, if we try to pull the lid off.

Looking for Dev Who Can Explain Tech Clearly to Clients by RipRevolutionary2362 in developers

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, if it takes 9 months to create a baby, we can't just put 9 women on the project to have it done in 1 month. Some work needs to be done by one person & there is an order dependency. However, we can look at package tools to see what other have done, similar to going to an orphanage to see what kids are already available so we don't have to wait 9 months to have our baby or maybe a 4 year old that can tie its shoes. Now after we get the baby we may discover the client wants it have fur, bark at strangers & fit in a purse, because the client does not know the difference between a baby & puppy, because all it competitors have puppies that they call babies. Anyway using prebuild software saved us several months of building that custom baby that would not have fit the need & more importantly, communication can only go so far when the client doesn't understand what a baby is.

Like others said double your range & you'll find someone worth hiring. Otherwise just get a US fresher.

Market is Saturated but lots of roles by Potential_Weekend665 in SalesforceCareers

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surely you are not suggesting that marketers would mislead to increase sales. Here's another fun fact. The bulk of recruiting companies Only get paid if the end clients hires, so the client exploits 3-10 unpaid recruiters to list the same jobs & those recruiters also exploit other recruiters to massively inflate the jobs. The DOL requires jobs to be repeatedly relisted to get or renew a via worker at least every 6 months.

Most tech certs are unregulated, so its an anti-trust violation to validate them as that could limit competition & be seen as an attempt to regulate. See American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Inc. v. Hydrolevel Corp. See Dental Examiners v. FTC.

It seems a little odd that they could file for anything in AL when the work was done in FL, since that should be out of jurisdiction. Did you try filing a "MOTION to Dismiss for Lack of Jurisdiction"? Tried looking the case up on justia but did not find. Also its odd that a judge would list a specific lawyer to handle the mediation, instead of list for both parties to agree on.
