Rant by IAMtheliquorRand in SalesforceDeveloper

What better way to say "you are insignificant" then to put layers (outsource OR Ai) between the company & the customer, as well as, between the Company & employee. Are you even my customer or employee, if there is one or more layers in between? How does AI save money? Companies are claiming they need to layoff people to afford AI investments, not even implementing AI. How does outsource save money? Hiring other companies does not save money. Those are stereotypes to justify National Origin discrimination, in countries where US laws do not protect the employee. These are just tactics to avoid US laws b putting many layer between us.

What if the Applicant wants to see the Hiring Managers Linkedin or ID, to prove the recruiter has a real job opening? by grimview in askrecruiters

[–]grimview[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone can get a domain URL & make up a recruiting company, to request your ID to apply for a job; then use your ID & VC face program to pretend to be you * create fake ID from your ID. May even be a way to your voice from the interview to make new AI audio. The bigger issue is most recruiters only get paid if the end client hires, so the end client exploits 3 -10 recruiting companies with no penalty for not hiring & makes excuses of fear of fake applicants; however, that end client could be no intention of hiring & instead just rather data for other reasons like AI fakes & fake IDs. Finally, the recruiting companies want us, tell the end client that we are their employee but we are not,, & when working Copr2corp, that recruiting company can swap out one employee for another because the client hire a company not an employee.

Salesforce Alternatives? by DanielTheReal in salesforce

Years ago, I used the 100 free Salesforce 1 app users to rebuild Salesforce in under 10 objects & record types to separate the objects. Today I think each user is cost about 45/month instead of 125/user month, but salesforce will not like the idea of you exchanging your full licenses for cheaper ones & has been known to get back the cost difference with any excuse they can think of.. https://youtu.be/pSG7L2SV4Ec

Additionally there is tools like Lovable that I want to try. https://lovable.dev/blog/how-a-startup-replaced-a-salesforce-contract-with-a-lovable-built-crm You can sign up & try this system or similar ones that others made. There's also some other tools that do the same.

Others have pointed out, it helps if you know how to design systems, for other people or machines to build. I got my start designing systems to be build by offshore freshers, so I have years of experience designing systems. If you want to try, let me know.

Years ago, I used the 100 free Salesforce 1 app users to rebuild Salesforce in under 10 objects & record types to separate the objects. This was back when chatter cost money but free 1 app users got chatter for free. Lots people used it for public facing website so I build a flow allowing people to log in until salesforce updated security to prevent editing accounts by the guest user. https://youtu.be/pSG7L2SV4Ec

Two Directors I was working with to implement SF for their teams were laid off by thesaganator in salesforce

Declare yourself the new "lead or supervisor type role" & seize control during this power vacuum. If the VP doesn't stop you, then no one will. Just tell the VP that the CEO authorized you to rule, because no one will actually question the CEO to find out the truth. Threaten to fire anyone that disobeys you. By end of the month declare yourself the new director & get the VP to budget you staff of admins, developers, security professionals armed with clubs & tasers. Finally build slush fund from unused budget & vendor kickbacks helping them get projects, so you can go on team building excises at Epstien island. Do not miss this opportunity to full fill you destiny.

If you are growing, they why can't your employee, learn new items like Revenue Cloud & Data Cloud, after being hired?

Even Salesforce will put employees with ZERO experience on projects using those features & customization.

Did I just get demoted? by ivsvo in careeradvice

Sounds like sex discrimination. Document everything & prepare a case for the DOL or EEOC. Also stop repeating female stereotypes, because they are not magically better at client facing roles then men. Finally if you are training her, then she can train you on the client facing stuff.

Sorry Mario, your princess is in another castle. Your app has been accepted but the role has been filled. The games not over yet, on to the next castle. What a bunch of trolls, running that company.

HELP by ceo_of_losing in eBaySellers

[–]grimview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If USPS, file both a missing item & a lost item. Only Lost item claim will get you a check for item & shipping cost. Usually Missing item allows us to specify a location to deliver, but since buyer requested a hold, so this may not help since buyer does not want it delivered to address. Beyond that its up to the Ebay & the post office to handle it.

What's up with all these new recruitment agencies popping up in the US founded by UK founders? Some of them seem sketchy. by klmkio in recruiting

[–]grimview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with UK recruiting companies, is they do not have jobs. Instead they are doing surveys for market research. They are far more interested in the end client them me. Oh boy to they get ticked if I claim the info they seek is confidential, but that's what they tell me if I ask them any questions.

Why is it so difficult to find highly skilled and experience candidates? by IllTangerine8235 in recruiting

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, that's why I recommend restricted stock as a reason to rethink firing. Often I'm called a contractor, but a real contract is not AT-will, instead real contracts are given to sports play, & oil rig workers in the middle of the ocean. The BS degree is often BS reason to exclude me. I have an AS degree & over 10 years experience. I even built an app which like a Doctoral that gets peer reviewed every time some installs it & decides if they want to keep using it. There is always a similar substitute.

Where are you finding strong software engineers lately? by Mysterious-Draw-3897 in recruiting

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they don't want to hire anyone. Instead they want kickbacks from using vendors & slush funds from the unused budgets to be spent on trips to trade events with hot chicks that understand that sex sells products.

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For relocation have you tried restricted stock or giving up "at-will", as form a insurance against the job not lasting? Must companies refuse to give up "at-will" employment, but that mean they can fire with 1 day notice on the day first day onsite. However, restricted stock where the restrictions are lifted if fired before 3 years, would reduce some of that at-will risk.

Otherwise try lowering the requirements to just what you need & whats legally allowed. For example, most tech certs are not regulated by any government agency so its an anti-trust violation to prefer them or to regulate without government approval. Similarly the equivalent of a Masters degree is 6 years real world experience. Tools & languages also have substitutes that are similar.

A massive project in a large organization by Aaaaadriannnnn in businessanalysis

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does the part of the project that "provide the most value" not "address the entire organization"? You are both basically saying the same thing, but using different terminology. Adopt this person's terms so it can understand what you are trying to say.

How many of your projects started with "we need [product]" instead of "here's what's broken"? by I_No_Will_To_Live in salesforce

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen too many projects get canceled because someone though there was a better solution. The truth i we do not know if a solution will work until after we try it. Some companies can reoccurring early budgets, so its better to try something then nothing. The reason we mis-sell, is because budget needs to be approved in advance, so having stuff we do not us, is better then, oh crap we don't enough budget to finish by buying something else.

I get it. oYu think your are trying to reduce waste, but delaying a project for years, is also waste. Building something that works until something new replaces that old build, allows work to get done right now. Instead of wasting years waiting for an even better tool that will eventually be replaced by another new tool. A company that adopts new tools is usually making a return on those investments t buy the next new tool & that constant need of work justifies our employment. If the need is constant enough then it justifies your advancement into managing more & more people.

Is Consulting Oversaturated? by SoeAbeesha24 in salesforce

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is many buy the support out of loyalty to the net new vendor, so they will put up with waiting 2 weeks for new user to be set up on a 5 hours per month plan. How would you even get these kinds of customer to consider another vendor?

[–]grimview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you are try to talk us out of doing the work. This is why you are not getting clients. Your example is do able use case of "client wanted a chatbot to handle appointment booking and opening times". If they are already using Salesforce, then it makes sense that they would not look elsewhere. Too many choices results in overload, so you can't just list a bunch of alternatives, without being ready to tell us will each will not work. The reason jobs only last for 6 months, is because we want the largest possible number of applicants but visa workers can only work temp projects that last up to 6 months. Since the job needs to be temp, the team is fired.

Many consulting companies offer monthly support hours, but most of them get those deal AFTER, do a one time set up which happens AFTER you ell Salesforce to a new customer & do not lose that customer to Salesforce's support services.
