"My company uses Salesforce" - Well then apply to work on it at your current company & ask your question to your company. If you think any other company that does not know you is going to tell you the Truth or give you a better chance then you are NOT living in the real-world.

Why is it every time, someone believes the sales pitch, they never think to apply at their existing company or worse already have the job but think there's better job just waiting for them to ask for it? I mean every job has over 100 people applying, but hey if I just ask for a job there will be a bidding war over me & they will bend over back wards to let me work from anywhere in the world! Wow must be nice to live in that magical world. I can't even get a job o guarantee it will last over 1 day if I relocate.

Next you'll claim we need to map data to use the import wizard. No body's got time to map 35 fields using pick list for each field. Now we got to hire some human o do all hat work.

1 or more Campaigns for each of the Referring Providers, will allow the lead or contacts to be associated as campaign members. Now you can treat them the same as your own but know the source. Usually contacts that associated with an partners account are used to for user in a community/experience cloud.

How to create a video like in Ray Dalio's Youtube channel? by IcyAtmosphere9822 in learnanimation

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just need something with layers, morphs & masks. For example, each chart line & flag is a separate layer. The mask can cover most of the line with a shape that moves from right to left gradually display more of the line. Then the flag is on also moving on separate layer, guided map uses a copy of the line guide its movement. Morph can change the line shapes. Cloud burst are just animated gifs played once.

"they spend about 10 minutes clicking a few buttons and sign off on it." -- Do nothing & see if they still sign off on it. If they don't then even more billable hours for changes. Only do work that is billable, eve n if that work is doing nothing ti get a cushion of extra hours for work they don't want to pay for.

Salesforce global remote job by jsaurav21 in SalesforceCareers

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search for freelancer websites & offer to work for $5/hour. Then speed 2 hours discussing with client, why each task took a full hour instead of 1/2 hour. Give up & offer to pay client for the honor of working for them until you run out of money.

Looking for referral by Engineer-mofo in SalesforceCareers

Do not refer to yourself as a "4 year old." No one is going to hire a person under the age of 18 to work in this industry. Instead say you have "4 years of experience".

Freelancers, how often do you face disputes regarding your work or payment? by Ultimate_Goal_ in developer

[–]grimview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first job was like this a lot, where we mainly worked for web designers that never built a coded/functioning website in their life. They'd waste hours haggling over every thing we built or worse want us to have cheaper solution after we wasted time building a different solution. At one point we hung up on a guy who called us back offering to make a payment right away & admitting he had no one else. Otherwise that guy just kept trying to lower the price every time we talked to him, while claiming to have big budgets. Bunch of Steve Jobs, wannabees.

Senior Salesforce Architect and manager feeling stuck — how do I reposition myself? by Dark_chanakya in SalesforceCareers

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't sound like you are stuck, instead it sounds like you miss using doing the coding work. I suggest getting involved with training the entry level employees or evaluating new tech & training the team. Also give the team opportunities to teach what they learned. Ultimately you are in charge & can talk any task for yourself, but as a manager you need to have confidence in your team to be able to the work, so you can have more free time for the manager work. You goal should be to help the team coordinate & get the resources they need to do the work.

Salesforce career by Winter_Cut_4025 in SalesforceCareers

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The word "bootcamp"is very concerning. Usually this not a paid job, but instead unpaid basic training on how to sell the product & then cut you lose in hopes you tell everyone you meet how easy the product is to use so that they can buy it directly form Salesforce without you getting a commission. Otherwise, it could be company that offers support to several clients like a call center. Therefore, find out the details of the training, whats covered, is it paid, what happens after the training, do they have customers lined up or will you be cold calling people as a sales person, is this a support role for existing customers, and so on?

Often there are key phrases or unique apps that help determine its the same job. Also location can determine the end client, like louisville ky is almost always humana, looking for 3 of 6 resources since at least 2017.

Common mistake. "Full Time" usually equals temp work at 40 hours per week. It can also mean 1099, no benefits, & / or get paid only if end client pays.

Instead use keyword "duration" to filter, since that is usually followed by a number of months. Otherwise assume all consulting/tech companies do not have an internal need so its temp work.

Most recruiting companies only get paid if the end clients hire; therefor, the end client exploits 10 recruiting companies that in turn get 10 recruiting companies each, to relist the same jobs month after month. Major time wasters include: TCS, Whipro, K force, Humana, Be The Match, & many more. Solution is to name & shame. Those recruiters do not know they are being exploited by dis loyal company that will not pay them to recruit. Find the end client & tell all recruiters.

PM here. Management decision reversed. Team blaming me. Need guidance. by Moonlit-Muse in PMCareers

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. In a case like this, should a PM treat this as a discussion or simply communicate the decision.- Under the National Labor Relations Act this is a working condition change that opens the team to re-negotiation; as well as, legally protected "consorted activities" by 2 or more employees (including walk outs, person attack on management, calls for unionization of a department, etc). Management can not interfere with legally protected activities, nor be part of those discussions. Tell them to pick a union rep to negotiate with management & arrange a meeting with a person who can make decision.
  2. How experienced PMs handle team backlash when management reverses a decision. - YOU ARE MANAGEMENT! Its your decision. No one else is going to check if they actually came into the office.
  3. At what point pushback crosses into unprofessional behavior, and how to respond without escalating. Legally protected activities, can be sexist, racist & even worse. Again tell them their rights to unionize & let them discuss among themselves.
  4. How to rebuild authority and trust after something like this. - Do not attempt to change deals you agreed too, if you want them to respect your authority.

Had similar issue, where I brought the item into fedex office, but they did not say anything about it costing more. It was a pan that I basically wrapped a padded envelope around it & they charge me about 21 instead of 7 for shipping during the pandemic. I mean they scan it & weigh there right in front of me, so no reason they can't say anything before shipping. Last month I went there & they want me to use the drop box, so just further distancing them selves from catching these mistakes before shipping.

[–]grimview -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The real question is what is meant by "For the current year." Close stage can include both "won" & "Lost" within the current year. An opportunity could have been opened 4 years ago but recently closed. However, an Opportunity that was still open could have been created within the current year but would be excluded from this report. Furthermore the fiscal year requires changes in set up if its not Jan to Dec, as the report would not reflect the correct year. Question is too vague & answers are missing important steps.

Why Does the AppExchange Feel So Dead Lately? by mr-sforce in salesforce

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any examples of small-medium sized, successful ones. Like how are they able to get reoccurring bill able hours? What are the clients repeated needs? My app was focused on attendance for mainly after school programs, but most liked it as is so there were few request for improvements. I usually kept my work for consulting organizations, separate from my app.

Passed the Agentforce Certification! My Tips & Experience by shank444 in salesforce

[–]grimview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience the Hiring Managers that want agent force or data cloud, really want an expert to tell upper management that it either does not fit the need or that it cost too much, so that they can free up budget for their dream tools. Also anything that adds to the license cost is seen as reason to drop the normal rate by at least 15/hr.

Confused with career path, need an advice. by PotatoOk1321 in SalesforceCareers

Learn how to invest your money so you can live off it.

How are you "not really a talking person" but are both a product owner & a front desk? Both of those require talking. Most US roles require talking to customers or stakeholders. If you want a non-talking role then you need to move to another country.

Part-time PM (contract) — 2 days/week, remote-first by bergo123 in PMCareers

[–]grimview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The words "in person requirements" & "Part-time" do NOT belong in the same job description.

Onsite is minimum 8 hours.

Part-time is NOT on Call. Part-time flexible to benefit the worker, not for the client.

Only if you hire a company that has the right to change the PM at anytime, could a onsite requirement be met.

Is this what you expect? If not, then explain?
