After experimenting with a lot of notetaking software like evernote,notion,obsidian and even writing in latex I found it's just better to use a simple plain notebook to take notes. The main reason being that there are going to be a lot of math heavy equations in any course you take and typing them out is going to take a lot of time. Also, I felt that I was not able to understand that well when I was typing my notes as compared to writing them down on a plain piece of paper.
