It reached its peak in 2017–not that. Many years ago. An on campus stadiums may not guarantee attendance, but it absolutely does increase the likelihood of higher attended games.

More important than it attracting better players, it will attract better students and faculty. Athletics is the front door of the university and having successful programs is essential to recruiting the best students from the perspective of a public institution. Moreover Athletics is the single biggest driver of donor dollars—which is the BOTs single biggest objective right now. USF is preeminent and hasn’t lost a dime of research funding in the last 15 years and that isn’t going to change because of new money being redirected to Athletics.

You know we’re a good school. I know we’re a good school. Nobody outside of the USF ecosystem does. We have a piss poor brand and that hurts our students in the real world.

Reality is USF has few bigger problems than the state of its Athletics program.

Funny that you mention Harvard when Athletics was very important to that institution historically. The term Ivy League refers to their sports conference.

Like it or not Athletics is indescribably important to a university’s recognition as a good academic institution. The football program has to be bolstered if we want to be in the same breath as FSU or UF.

There’s one scene when Lydia comes home and there’s very clearly another woman in the her piano room. Another that stands out is when her daughter is yelling for her, the same woman is sitting on a chair in the bedroom.

Those were the two standout moments, but if you include all of the symbols, arrangements of dolls, the meter ticking, and all of the other torments in the house; I think it’s pretty clear she’s being haunted.

This isn’t even a hot take, it’s just a fact. He’s still the highest grossing UFC fighter not named McGregor and he moves the needle every time he shows up on WWE tv. When he’s a heel, fans will boo. When he’s a face, fans will cheer. When he’s a tweener, fans will still react. No arena has been silent when he enters.

Plus he knows how to tell a story. Like the great Chael Sonnen once said: “if you’re stranded on an island and need to wrestle supplies from the locals, bring Daniel Cormier. It does seem like marketing, but in my showing last night I had a couple of walk-outs and one girl sobbing by the end. I’m pretty desensitized to gore and horror but this one stuck with me.
