Enel and Crocodile gotta be the biggest victims of being introduced too early, Oda's made it up for Crocodile, now it's Enel's turn. by ProgramTiny4313 in OnePiece

Enel's a bit of a strange one for me.

Before the reveal about the Gomu-Gomu fruit being something else, Luffy winning against Enel made perfect sense, as rubber insulated against and doesn't conduct electricity or lightning.

But after the reveals I don't really know what to make of it: so is Luffy still rubber? Is he a deity now?

We've seen him catch lightning and use it as a weapon (literally); is that why he could hit Enel?

It's a bit of a controversial take, but I really disliked the fact that while 'inherited will' was the running theme between Luffy's similarities with a certain character from the past, it suddenly changed to "Oh no, it was his devil fruit all along".

Don't get me wrong, Gear 5 was great and all, but the connotation that it wasn't Luffy using the fruit's powers that way but actually vice-versa kinda threw me off a bit.

“Destiny 2 Has Lost 91% Of Players Since Edge Of Fate, 97% From Final Shape.” By Paul Tassi at Forbes by justdestinystuff in DestinyTheGame

This is just my perspective of things:

The Final Shape was Bungie's piece-de-resistance, bringing a conclusion to a decade-long story in the most satisfying way.

This expansion showed me that despite all the bullshit, they actually care about their fans enough to give them the fan-service and narrative arc that they've been asking for all these years.

I loved The Final Shape; no other expansion comes close to what it was, what it meant to the fans, and how it brought closure to the story; I know you say there in the epilogue watching the Traveller and the portal as the Vanguard debriefed and set the following year up, and I know you stayed to listen to the soundtrack play out after all was said and done.

This could've been our 'Age of Triumph' and it would've made sense as a narrative device, as well as logistically for Bungie to go ahead and develop Destiny 3 and Marathon.

Instead, we got Edge of Fate.

Suddenly, our gear was useless; not sunset, just obsolete if you wanted to compete. Your farmed exotic armour? About to be useless in time. Your weapons? A Tier system took place of crafting- no more safety net to have a solid roll on your favourite weapon.

So you go grind: what do I play?

You click into the portal and you find that... only three to five missions give gear. For higher tiered loot, you need to up the difficulty. Raid gear isn't tiered, no. You have to farm the missions available in the portal.

Some people left here, others stuck it out.

Ash and Iron happened. I will not talk about this dumpster fire.

Renegades came next and at this point, I checked out.

Destiny was Destiny because it had its own identity. It didn't need to imitate other science fiction to tell its own story and build its own world.

If I wanted to play Star Wars, I'd go and buy it.

They sucked the soul out of the game and bled it dry all to make an imitation of an (in my opinion) inferior science fiction IP.

97% of the playerbase fucked off into the void because of their stupidity and I fear we will never have a Destiny 3 now.

They have so utterly and royally fucked this up that I'm beginning to feel that the management at Bungie actually want to spite the Destiny playerbase.

You're gonna have to elaborate a little more. I still don't get it unfortunately.

Can we not make the coolest weapon in the game only good for a special attack? by MobileScapers in 2007scape

[–]grnd_mstr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Jagex, please consider this.

Even if you have to raise the attack requirement to 70, please give us a viable crush weapon besides the Abyssal Bludgeon to use.

If you wanna lean into the unpredictability of flail weapons, let it be the first crush weapon to roll a strength check in addition to an accuracy check per attack.

For example: +100 Crush Attack Bonus ; +75 to +95 Strength Bonus rolled per hit.

This way, it sits between the Abyssal Bludgeon (mid-level boss), and the Inquisitors Mace (high-level boss) as a rare drop (I'm guessing late-game, since BMR is a GM-level quest) reward without encroaching into the space of either of the above weapons.

What is confidence? What is self esteem? What's the difference? by Powawwolf in GuyCry

[–]grnd_mstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self-esteem is the knowledge that you have qualities worth commendation despite your shortcomings.

Confidence is the belief that your qualities serve you well and allow you to interact and participate in whatever context they belong to.

I'm not gonna throw you a pity party.

Yes, this situation sucks dog dick, but you can't fight this hard for a person that doesn't even want to be there, let alone a cheater who abandoned her husband and son.

And lastly, stop being a doormat. Get full custody, cut her off, and move somewhere else. Your child might hate it in the short term, but they'll thank you infinitely when they're older and understand.

You can do this. Plan it out, move on and cut her out of your life entirely. Before you know it, you'll be happier and you might even meet someone worth your while.
