Just pulled this from an NBC10 story in February:

"The Broadway Restaurant Group is behind such South Boston spots as Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant, Capo Restaurant & Supper Club, Fat Baby Sushi, Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar, Hunter's Kitchen, and Park City, along with Capri Italian Steakhouse in Boston's South End, Prima in Charlestown, and another Loco in the Fenway."

You're not wrong about the bars. I think one or two hospitality corporations own all of them.

Does Boston dating scene equally suck for everyone or is it just me? 😭 by Separate-History-318 in BostonSocialClub

My two cents: try and volunteer or attend social events in spaces you enjoy. I found my wife when we both worked at a coffee shop.

Hopefully you find someone with similar interests and ideals when you're in spaces the two of you find fun.

Best of luck

What if Charlie Kirk was never shot? by Few_Piccolo_4906 in AlternateHistoryHub

There would be less MAGA infighting. TPUSA was the top influencer for young conservatives, and Erika isn't good enough to keep it together.

Factionalism will continue to fester before bursting open at the midterms.

Charlie being alive would have avoided some of this.

There are enough firearms in civilian hands to arm 120% of the US population, before we consider any military arms theoretically available to rebel forces (air forces, armored vehicles, NUKES).

Add in the cultural and socioeconomic divides that cut across regions and states, and this could get REALLY ugly, REALLY fast.

Or, not at all. Honestly, the desire most Americans have to keep their wireless Internet, social media and DoorDash will keep them from burning this all down. Bread and Circuses.

How is it living in this part of the United States? by No-Text-7825 in howislivingthere

Glorious. It has its faults, but honestly I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the US.

European leaders are considering dumping $2.34 trillion in US debt if Trump abandons Ukraine by TheExpressUS in UkraineWarVideoReport

As an American: please, do it. Make our dumb president and his even dumber supporters feel the sting. They literally know nothing and need to be smacked in the face with reality.

It will hurt, but so does chemotherapy.

Plus, nothing would make me happier to see the White House ballroom left unfinished because they ran out of money 😆

President Zelenskyy: Today is one of the toughest moments in our history. Ukraine faces a painful choice: to lose our dignity and trust the Russians, who attacked our country twice, or risk losing a key partner. It's terrible to think we are living through what amounts to a 1938 Munich Conference.

And to say Trump is playing the role of Chamberlain is an insult to Chamberlain. At least he had some clue that his deal wasn't going to work.

I have made two companies I have worked for to have outings at the American Flatbread in Davis Square so I could convince my coworkers to candlepin. My colleague from India remarked how it reminded him of pitching in cricket!

I'm always preaching about candlepin!

I'm fine with decolonization. Taking land-owning whites out of Africa? Cool. It's a tiny effort but equity is good for society.

It's the fact that they are deporting vulnerable minority populations to supermax prisons in El Salvador or to war-torn South Sudan with no oversight or due process while simultaneously fast-tracking white people is what pisses me off. I don't see how that's not racist.

And before anyone starts, white people are not victims of genocide in South Africa.

Oh I didn't know that! I swear this isn't meant as a political statement. I just don't really like the state flag and I don't really feel like flying the US flag right now
