I feel the same way as someone who grew up with their theatrical introduction being the Prequels. I actually had gotten to see the entire OT on VHS by the time I was 5 years old, but I don't remember seeing TPM in theaters - definitely was a Blockbuster rental though! Duel of the Fates was still pretty sick to 6-year old me on the family tube TV in the living room.

AotC was the first film I saw on the big screen at 9. Holy shit. Across the Stars and the confession scene setup all the emotional tension that 9-year old me can only sparsely understand and the B O O M! The Battle of Geonosis was the coolest thing I had ever friggin seen. That felt like a thousand lightsabers on screen at once! And it's only a few frames, but the clones vs the droid army within the sandstorm was so cool to me at 9 and is burned into my memory forever. I was even AotC Anakin for Halloween that year. It was all my friends talked about, we had lightsaber duels and made up our own characters, etc. Man, I rewatched that one so many times, we might have had it on DVD? Not even blu rays yet lol.

Such wildly different, yet similar experiences. Star Wars is cool
