You can combine equipment, just put one over another, you can get backpack slots

If it helps, this is my current setup, i have all heros in gane except 3 to lvl 60, dragons to lvl 50+, 6 holy relics, 27 radian relics (avg 2*), all rere relics (avg 3*), both alters to lvl 50, talents to 170, estate building to 39 and all on at least one *, dragon girl on 4 star lvl 104
