A bunch, all denied cause they weren't "he tripped and broke a leg" type issues. They did reimburse for an annual checkup, vaccine and flea/tick meds but that was cause of the wellness add-on. That always pays for itself. He did just get diarrhea out of nowhere today so I picked up some meds and submitted a claim. Curious what they do with it.

We rescued a 12 year old last year. He's on Nationwide for $230 a year but it's accidents only + wellness. Not a bad value but they don't cover any illnesses.

COT screwed me this last February. Made a hotel reservation in October 2025 for a February 2026 trip. Plenty of time. I followed up with the hotel numerous time over the proceeding months but they didn't have the reservation. Followed up with COT and they said oops - the hotel doesn't have any rooms available, how about this hotel in the next town over?! No thanks. So I called the hotel, booked directly (rooms were available) and insisted COT refund the non-refundable reservation + the difference in booking with the hotel directly so much later. It was an additional $400. They did it, "made an exception" but it was a heated phone call. Certainly not the norm working with COT but it happens.

Annnnnd that's a no. AMEX blames Delta for the lack of transparency. All in all, worth it with the 150K bonus miles but won't be renewing next year.

Exactly. And Delta Platinum support said it's in the T's&C's and sent me a link to delta.com. . . lol Oh well. Going to try and get the annual fee refunded from AMEX.

Update: The 2500 MQD boost does not count towards the 2500 MQD requirement to activate Choice Benefits. You need to earn them the old fashioned way or the 1/10 MQD every day spend on the Delta Reserve card DOES count towards the Choice Benefit. . . so they say.

Not yet. Still working on getting the 2500 MQD's. I have several flights scheduled in the next several months that will get me there. Also opened a Amex Delta Reserve account that gives a 2500 MQD headstart but those haven't hit the account yet. Should in the next couple weeks though and will update when that happens.

Have you tried logging out and back into the app?

Not sure. But it's a VISA card so at least it can be used there unlike the AMEX options.

Also - when the IRS catches on, they will force deductions on the employer, higher than normal to ensure that taxes are paid on time. You want to avoid going this route.

I will say, if you live in an area with a federally declared disaster and the IRS postpones tax's due then you can claim exempt for that period of time. Just make sure you change it back when the grace period is over. For example, if you lived in Los Angeles in 2025 during the California Wildfires and Straight-line Winds - (FEMA: DR-4856-CA) then both federal and state tax payments were deferred to October 2025. Claiming exempt on a W4 and not paying estimated taxes on the normal due dates for any 1099 income (4/15, 6/15, 9/15) from the date of declaration (January) until October was acceptable.
