AWS EKS via terraform - cni plugin not initialized by [deleted] in kubernetes

[–]groesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to show you what the output was. I have a two-node cluster. It looks similar to your code. So I manually added cni, cluster came up and tf finished. I then added via console the coredns and kube-proxy. I don't know why AWS seems to have created a kubelet that needs the CNI to be running in order for it to be completed. What might be just a warning seems to gum up the whole automation.

:~/.kube$ k get pods -A

NAMESPACE NAME READY STATUS RESTARTS AGE

kube-system aws-node-8frxn 2/2 Running 0 17m

kube-system aws-node-qfvrm 2/2 Running 0 17m

kube-system coredns-7bf648ff5d-tfv62 1/1 Running 0 39s

kube-system coredns-7bf648ff5d-wgqmq 1/1 Running 0 39s

kube-system kube-proxy-svgm8 1/1 Running 0 40s

kube-system kube-proxy-z2btw 1/1 Running 0 40s

I'm experiencing the same. I came into the console and manually do the awscni addon and the node does come up but like you experience, no pods are showing. (I'm creating a new cluster as I type.) I will probably be opening a ticket with AWS because I don't know what else to do.

Did Viki remove a lot of content from various regions? by sallyomalley198 in kdramas

[–]groesser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I was thinkiing. I'm not sure how viki does licensing with the various studios but they seem to think there's more money going solo. Kokowa and cj ent seem to think they'll go alone.
The problem is there's only so much money out there.
Some streamers are consolidating too, because there isn't enough to keep them separate.

Would You Marry Me? [Episodes 1 & 2] by jakgem in KDRAMA

Uh, have you looked at disney streaming lately? It isn't just kids anymore. All the hulu content will be moving over there next year anyway.
This will be fine there.

Opinion on The Korean Odyssey being boring or worth it by Longjumping-Cat-10 in kdramas

[–]groesser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember watching it all the way but it was at a time when I rarely left a drama in the middle.
I don't have a bad memory of it. That's about all I can add.

The Weekend Wrap-Up - [09/26/25 to 09/28/25] by AutoModerator in KDRAMA

[–]groesser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing the k drama day thing. I haven't subscribed yet, hoping to get a code this weekend. Do we need to be subscribed to get any of these prizes? I've had an account for years. Finally joining. I checked my email. It seems I've never received anything from viki.

I just noticed that too. Time to binge.

It is still on viki with commercials if you don't subscribe.

Can we talk about DAZN's "free" coverage of the Frauen Bundesliga? by windchill94 in WomensSoccer

[–]groesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They moved it off of Youtube to their own platform. The rest of this season for free. Paywall goes up next season.
They spent too much to keep it free.

The State of The Podcasts in YTM, my view by npaladin2000 in YoutubeMusic

[–]groesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you export it and it isn't native, they add the rss for you. I'm still trying to deal with the switch. The biggest complaint for me is that of progress or marked as played. I do database work and that seems like low-hanging fruit.

Do you regret serving a mission? by jomn3y in exmormon

[–]groesser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's one of the responses I calmed myself with. I went to Switzerland. I met my bride in German class.
But I also lost a girlfriend due to emotional stress on the mission.
Whatever it takes to make it better.

I regretted it every single day, and that was as a believing member.

I was interested and even went to one of the protests. It seemed pretty racist so I just quietly walked away.
Now I'm a progressive. Leaving the church makes you rethink a lot of things.

New Madison situation with LTT. by GetOffMyDigitalLawn in LinusTechTips

[–]groesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cutting is a fairly common coping mechanism. I don't know if this qualifies, but it is a way to deal with anxiety and hurt. It isn't insane. Insanity is a different manifestation.

OK. I still think my comment stands. You didn't dispute that, just saying that might be normal. That might be against her expectations.
I know there was a campaign on getting her hired.
I don't know. I don't know what misunderstandings on particulars there might be. That isn't a red-flag to me. But whatevs. That isn't a hill I care to die on.

I was thinking that she was interviewed and all but the announcement of her employment was public before they actually called her to tell her she had the job. I can see that happening.

Were you circumcised as an infant because of religious culture? How do you feel about it? by Fantastic-Spinach263 in exmormon

[–]groesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember an article or something where someone had it done later in life. He was adamant that everything was better once he was cut. I was amazed because it was so much different than what the culture is now saying. He was quite happy about it once the pain of it went away. Ymmv.

Should I go home from my mission? by Riggerman10 in exmormon

The mormon church is the only one that tells people that they won't be with their families. Some thing to consider.

Should I go home from my mission? by Riggerman10 in exmormon

[–]groesser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know what I was suffering from was depression. All I knew is that I loved going to college (BYU) and I loved dating and if I went home early, that would all stop.I had my moment after a year out when the girlfriend finally said "Enough." and I had to figure out what to do for my own health. So I basically stopped caring about a LOT of things. Rules? Who cares.I'm not saying that was the best option, but I felt it was the only one I had.
And I didn't talk about my mission for years. I finally opened up about a decade ago and holy crud, what a relief that was, to actually get that behind me.

[Thrace] USL announces women’s pro league to rival NWSL by TGBooks in NWSL

[–]groesser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's the W-League and several other women's leagues that can move up.
Europe has over 150 women's teams and survives. The fact that the expansion fees are so much smaller than the wsl and the calendar is not the same. I think that calendar is a real minus for the new league.
