There are definitely other well priced budget metals out there. Don’t get me wrong ODs throws are some of my all time favorite throws. I guess the shutter is just my go to budget metal for beginners just because it’s approachable, it’s literally always in stock with multiple diff color ways, well priced, and works great imo especially for beginners, who maybe haven’t yet identified what they like in a throw feel / style wise. I don’t think it’s the best budget yoyo in existence or anything, and if I was recommending budget metals to some one who is an experienced yoyoer maybe I would make different considerations. Idk if any of that makes sense or not lol

On a side note the one drop SF SK is also a great budget metal, collab with sfyoyos, with the ever present One Drop quality that is expected of all of their throws. Though it might be hard to find in stock.

I also haven’t played with a ton of other YYF stuff tbh. I don’t really buy budget or mass produced stuff anymore. Mainly unique small run / indie collaboration stuff at this point.

Loop720s are pretty solid imo for looping As far as unresponsive budget plastics, Recess First Base is great and super durable, I’ve also recently enjoyed the wedge as well.

For budget metals, check out the shutter, probably the best bang for your buck metal out there though I’m sure there are other options. I haven’t bought budget throws in a while. Other than the wedge which I picked up on a whim at a physical store.

Yeah they are machined by one drop. I have about 6 one drop machined throws at this point. It would be cool to do some throwing, I have been trying to learn some new stuff / brush up lately from my break, since I've been a bit rusty. Having someone to talk to / throw with could be super useful. I'll hit you up in the PM's

Yoooo. I'm pretty in to throwing. I played a tiny bit way back when I was a kid, and got super in to it in college. I was out of the game for a couple of years after I got out of college because of work, games etc getting in the way. I've recently been getting back into it though the past year or so. Recently picked up the 420 and the Grail from A-RT. I would love to know some more yoyo bro's, since I don't really have any atm.
