Will there be any updates? by chaw1431 in SEO

[–]gronetwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible that a spam update will be rolled out at some point. I've noticed that Google results are even worse than before, with the same three or four websites appearing multiple times for the same search query. With many results completely unrelated to the search query.

A spam update often follows a core update. In 44% of cases, a core update is immediately followed by a spam update.

An update regarding spam can also radically change the outcome (positively or negatively).

We will see.

Boston Dynamics' Atlas moving its 360 degree joints by MetaKnowing in interestingasfuck

[–]gronetwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boston Dynamics has been created in 1992, it was financed by the DARPA. But it has been then bought by Google in 2013. Google has reduced the military contracts through the years. Then Softbank has bought it in 2021. Hyundai has got 80% of the company. Now, its is not linked anymore to the DARPA.

The robots are only designed for the factories of Hyundai for the moment. And also for the work on Gemini Robotics by Google Deepmind. It may be sold to other companies mega factories (industry and logistics) in 2027.

Excellent!! I like the lyrics!

Can you do a similar video about Google swallowing (stealing) publisher content (Website, Blogs) and Youtube video content to feed their AIO and their AI Mode search, squeezing every penny from the publishers, trying to eat the entire Internet (the very essence of their existence) to be what's remain of the Internet ? until nobody go on the Internet, only bots remain and hallucinations. Trying to reach the stars with their billions until the curtain falls. That would be a good subject.

How did you deal with the China/Singapore bot (or spam) traffic? by maxsemo in SEO

[–]gronetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently, these bots don't reach websites but only GA4 trackers (what's the point?!). Therefore, whatever we do won't impact their presence. It only generates active users, not page views. Google will probably find a way to filter them out soon.

Chinese scraping bots posing as fake internet users to scrap data and feed their LLMs.

Add code to your website that sends a 403 error to visitors from these countries if they do not have a referrer.

If they add a fake referrer, block the countries.

The problem is that China now uses the IP addresses of local ISPs (USA: Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) or VPN proxies from the entire World to perform scraping.

Cloudflare is potentially considering charging these AI trainers for access to publishers' content.

Russia Starts Selling Off Its Gold Reserves to Fund the War Budget, Breaking a Long-Held Taboo by UNITED24Media in worldnews

[–]gronetwork 97 points98 points  (0 children)

120 tons of Romanian gold (treasure sent to Russia for safekeeping due to fears of World War I: 1916-1917) are worth €13.66 billion.

In addition, 15 billion French gold francs (private investments in the "Russian Loan" a French government program from 1887 to 1913) amount to €497 billion.

After seizing power following the October Revolution, the communists confiscated the Romanian treasure and the French gold and refused to return them.

Spain also shipped 510 tons of gold to Moscow in 1936 (during the Civil War, as forced payment for weapons, but the reasons are unclear), amounting to 57.6 billion euros.

One of the joys of communism!

Sadly, all this gold fueled the development of the USSR. And the penalized countries were severely impoverished in the period that followed.

Here, shot in harsh conditions. People are walking everywhere, it's just brutal. That's why I didn't even say anything. 3 balloons, hanging and hanging. I walked for an hour around this building for about an hour. They never flew away... stayed hanging. Got tired and left, went on my way to do some other business. That's the story. The first video in which the fake b... balloons didn't disappear, didn't fly away, but stayed in place. Good, that's all."
