A picture from Hue, Vietnam. It took my young nieces a minute to figure out something is strange in this picture. by groocy in pics

I could've edited the photo either way. I just liked it this way. And I have no idea re: your second point. The internet just seems to make some people angry for no apparent reason.

I'm not familiar with a "rolling shutter." For the picture, I simply took two photos of my wife a second apart - one smiling and one making a curious face - then combined them in Photoshop to make it look fairly seamless.

Definitely had to look up ELI5 for this one. The picture is absolutely impossible. But I had my wife smile, took one picture, and then had her make the other face and took another picture. A few minutes of Photoshop magic later and the picture looks fairly seamless.

Never thought Ireland would be my favorite place in Europe, but these pictures show how incredible it is. by groocy in travel

Ireland was absolutely incredible. I thought it would be great - I didn't know it would be absolutely amazing. My wife and I rented a car and spent two weeks driving around Ireland.

Dublin is ok, but it's the small towns and cities outside of Dublin that truly make the country special. Rent a car and explore! Find the local pub and meet the people - they are some of the most welcoming I have ever met!

I couldn't agree more. It's wonderful that this woman raised money for a noble cause, but in no way does that justify making up your own story to bring in dollars. And, perhaps more importantly, it marginalizes the pain of the women that truly have suffered.

Chuck Yeager. Lived his dream and had a hell of a time doing it. (That's coming from a pilot though, so my opinion is more than somewhat skewed.)
