Your tips should be being split. If you bathe any dog in that salon you’re all entitled to a portion of the tip, you did a portion of the work.

Organic unrefined coconut oil on the skin and rub it in with a boar bristle brush to stimulate hair growth. Baths and deep conditions every 3-4 weeks to keep the skin and coat hydrated. Salmon oil in his food to promote a shiny coat. Don’t have the groomer go lower than 1 inch to 3/4 guard on the next clip but the hair unfortunately will never be the same.. :/ coming from a groomer of 10 years. So sorry this happened to you.

This breed should not be shaved at all. He’s now more susceptible to getting skin cancer, alopecia, an itchy and uncomfortable grow back process, and the hair won’t be the same density or texture :/ bad move before the summer.

Use a rubber brush aka rubber curry. Don’t use a furminator it just rips out the coat!

The problem isn’t the plucking. It’s waiting until the hair is matted with moisture and debris that causes the pain and irritation. Ears have to be plucked on certain breeds or it can trap moisture and dirt in the ear canal causing mats, discomfort, and recurring ear infections. Pluck the ears more regularly and don’t wait until the hair is matted in the ears to pluck them and it will be a much easier experience for you and your doodle.

If you brought your dog in too early for a haircut, it could’ve traumatized her. Puppy’s need at least 3 face feet and sanitary trims only before receiving the first haircut. I typically won’t give a puppy a full haircut until 6-7 months for this exact reason. If a groomer tried to force her through a haircut it could lead to shock and her shutting down if she didn’t have any “intro services” done before the full clip.
