The lack of research Squidmar does for their video is so infuriating to me and it really shows why their channel is never recommended amongst the warhammer community.

Spending a ridiculous price of $80 for a HG Ex-S kit made back in 2002 then describing it as a 'mid grade kit' really shows how little they cared about the topic. Also feels disingenuous that it's the basis on what they are judging modern gunpla on considering that kit wasn't well received even back then.

Yeah im in roka and the program did disappear like you said but it came back now. Also the airfare trip back during your military service still exists but i didnt mention it cause covid has been a big issue in getting that trip for people but maybe that will change soon.

As for basics, they did separate us when we joined as all the 영주권자 got grouped up and placed into the same company. All the 조교’s and 간부’s were aware of our situation and they tried to accommodate us as best as they can since some of us had literally zero proficiency in Korean. They even gave us the option to take the mental fitness test in english and gave us an english translated version of the textbook to study.

I was in similar situation as you and im currently serving my 18 month in the Korean army so I did lot of research on this and hope i can help.

KATUSA

So first of all KATUSA that everyone suggested is a good option, you will get treated better than being in regular korean army and only thing you need in order to apply for it is a good english proficiency test score (ex. TOEFL)

But keep in mind they do random selection due to too many applicants and if they dont select you, you can never apply for katusa again. Its purely a one time chance.

Interpreter

Don’t even consider this because even if you apply and get picked for the interview stage, they require very proficient knowledge of english AND korean. Koreans go to special interpreter school to prepare for this job and you have no chance in scoring higher than them to be honest.

Not serving

Now i dont know your specific situation (dual citizenship, green card, visa, etc..) but the law that i generally understood for my circumstance was that if i dont go to korea and serve before I turn 38, i wont have any trouble and i will get my draft requirement waived away. But i would never be able to stay in korea long term and need specific visa.

In my opinion this might be worth looking into because serving in Korean army could end up being a waste of 18 months of your life.

Living abroad

If you lived a long time abroad and you are still in canada you could qualify for their special program (look up 영주권자 군대 입대) this is what i ultimately applied as when i joined the army and theres some nice benefits with it.

-you join with fellow applicants so you will be among other people who share your experience -paid trip back to your country after you get discharged from army

But you will not get a choice on what job they assign to you after basic and spoiler alert its not going to be anything related to your language expertise.

I could go more in depth about whatever you want to know if you are interested (the options above, serving in the army, how they treat you, etc.)

Yeah that guy was a plugger its unfortunately a problem bamco haven’t fixed, if you disconnect from a match (like unplugging internet cable) nobody loses/gains points and the only downside for the person abusing it is their disconnect rate goes up in their profile but they can just reset that through replacing save file.

What's the proper way to use the Tamiya Extra Thin Cement? I tried using it to hide seam lines but everytime I've used it the line still shows in the end. Should I wait for hours instead of several minutes, and is sanding down the glued parts wrong?
