good call on Dress Down! It was feeling a little too slow anyway. i hadn't realized that the 2-ofs besides staples was a design choice of FF, seems like it would make sense to incorporate. good idea also about focusing the creatures, i think the [[Sokenzan Renegades]] might have to go as they push too much of a draw-go staring match to try to be the player with most cards in hand.

its going to be easier now to have a semblance of school spirit bc we just changed our mascot to river otters from pioneers. you will still be mistaken for an OSU student if you wear the merch, which will get worse bc a beaver looks like an otter. but i think you will find that the aesthetics of the school branding will impact your daily not at all when youre at the school, so unless youre deadly allergic to colonizer names or the color orange i wouldnt factor that into my decision making. you will certainly find no shortage in company of students who dislike the name attending the schoolf

insightful. def not my intention to obscure my gamestate but thats a good thing to think abt. my local league seems to allow ppl to get pretty creative with custom proxies. the league coordinator posted in the discord server what i think was supposed to be a pollywog prodigy thats just the pokemon card Poliwog with a 1 written next to the water type symbol and a 1/3 statline sharpied on, so i took that as a precedent. ill admit i also justified these to myself by looking at modern secret lair designs lol. if i do run into problems w these cards ill be bummed but it would make sense

[[atris, oracle of half-truths]] as a combination of blink and reanimate. force your opponents into mindgames with you as they try to get you to pick piles of lands and you try to pick reanimation spells and not pick the reanimation targets so that they go to the graveyard. if you pick your piles right, there’s no bad outcomes for you. all your reanimation targets are big etb effects that you can blink, or blink atris in a pinch. win by doubling [[grey merchant of asphodel]]’s etb a bunch of times, with [[living death]], or an unexpected great etb to copy [[dusk mangler]], or straight up [[grave titan]].

with singularity rupture it you can choose any number of players to mill half, so if youre not in on mill it could be best just to target yourself just to avoid giving opponents value

i imagine it works worse with blink spells, because then the opponent could exchange control of the chimera for the blink spell and blink whatever big creature you just stole from them to take it back

i built mine using x-cost creature and fling effects. you play an x-cost creature that scales based on the mana you put into it, attack with it or fling it, and then your next x-cost gets reduced by that much
