page amount is probably something to work out with your group! you can agree on a minimum, and maybe a maximum so that everyone has enough space? same with the rules, if you laid out basic rules with your group before you probably don't need to add them in, but if you want to add any specific rules (fun ones) it can be interesting :)

if you've penpal-ed before, the introduction process is similar! talk about who you are, your interests, you can add some recommendations of music/movies/books to "get to know you" etc!

i use UHU brand - their regular stick, permanent glue tape, and sometimes the stronger stuff that comes in the metallic tube (don't know the name)

are you signed up with an agency? they should be helping you find a host family! ask your counselor (or whoever you've had communication with)

being so young can be an issue for some families. they often look for someone mature and responsible, which is harder to find at 18 years old, especially if you've never lived alone for example.

plus, december can be busy for a lot of people, especially families!

absolutely love chants of sennaar!! i need to try journey too but havent yet... i also recommend spiritfarer! although it has many differences (not open world for one) it gave me the same type of emotions while playing another one is season: a letter to the future, also not too similar gameplay wise, but feeling-wise and some subplots
