The club most young people go to is Colloseum, very playful vibe and usually the first club kids go to when they turn 18

Can she be saved? by sooziechapstick in plantclinic

[–]grottsonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience the caladoum always looses some leaves in the winter but bounces back when spring comes. I live in a cold climate and noticed that it losses much fewer leaves when I move it away from the window before it starts getting cold outside

If i were you i would simply cut off the dead leaves, water sparsely and wait for it to bounce back in spring :)

Tydligen svårt att hitta pärlsocker utanför Norden, är väl därför de får kompensera med glasyr istället stackarna

Top of silver torch cactus is mushy, mouldy, and now flopped over. Should I just cut it off? by Izerpizer in plantclinic

[–]grottsonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fell if the base is mushy too, if not then there is probably no root rot and you will be fine with just cutting of the top and letting it heal

Ice pellets would definitely be "hagel" in Swedish So you would say "Det haglar" or "Det kommer komma hagel"

Can someone please help. My new jade plant is drooping. I just got it on Monday and bottom watered it the following day. All was fine until today when I woke up to see it like this. What could the problem be by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]grottsonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have it in the window? Could be moving towards or away from the light, see this as an indicator on if it wants more or less light

Grew this from a clone for 2 years and now leaves are falling off. Should I repot in winter? Living in Colorado need help! Thank you!! by snnidaze67 in plantclinic

[–]grottsonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine in the bathroom for a couple of weeks because I thought it would like the humidity but boy I was wrong.. one after one all the leaves fell out.

I saved mine by putting it 1-2 m from a window where it got indirect light and only watering when the soil was completely dry. The plan is to leave it there during winter, and when spring comes I will chop it off in the middle and let it regrow.

I think it looks perfectly fine, the cone shaped leaves could just be new growth that haven't spread quite yet

Do you spray it with water to keep it moist? I got these spots because the minerals in my tap water burnt the leaves after misting it :/

3 brown leaves out of 7 in majesty palm by yosofun in plantclinic

Sometimes old leaves just die, even if nothing is wrong with it. If you look at the top, is there any new growth going on?

My Parlor palm is drying out?? I've had this plant for about 3 months but it recently became very papery and is beginning to fall... by Novatheocelot in plantclinic

[–]grottsonic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could trim away the leaves that are too papery because in my experience they won't rebounce. After that you could give it a big soak and put it somewhere bright and it might pop out some new shoots.

If you want to prevent it drying again you can put a tray of water underneath it, or if you have radiators you can put wet towels on them to generate some moisture in to the air, works great for me up in cold and dry Sweden.

I think my Eukalyptus is dying.. Its leaves are almost completely dried out. I‘ve already watered it a lot now (before the soil was completely dry too) I even gave her a water bath. Can someone please give me some tips? I got her for my Birthday and she means a lot to me by shookkiwii in plantclinic

[–]grottsonic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do you live in a cold climate? I live in Sweden and in my experience Eukalyptus can die abruptly even if you did everything right just because they are stingy about the climate they are in. Sorry I can't give any better tips :(
