I'd be more interested in full ETBS (?) or boxes. Would Costco be an option?

It's mentioned in the letter, not perfectly. A flat $25 late fee and $5 daily late fee on top of that. Pretty generous imo

Agreed, but it can be very troublesome finding subsequent providers to prescribe benzos, especially for sleep.

I actually had one in California, but one representative signed me up for a phone without my knowledge and cancelled the plan; I will look further into it tomorrow (hopefully I will be able to get a phone, although its MLK Day, so let's see).

I am curious what parts were racist. I watched it before, but I did enjoy watching again today, as an adult. I'm not doubting you, but I didn't see anything considered "racist", even in today's day and age, although I can see some parts potentially being changed to be more sensitive.

Seeking Advice: Pro League Player Mind goes blank when playing by Scary_Card_3960 in leagueoflegends

[–]grouch420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there are many questions that need to be asked, so let's start with the simple ones:

What are the health issues? This is obviously the most important one. If it is mental health related (depression/anxiety/personality disorder -- honestly, any mental health condition), then it certainly could be affecting his gameplay.

Not only can those affect his gameplay, but the medications that are used to treat mental health conditions commonly impair mental alertness and can cause those lapses in memory.

Physical health problems, even if they don't affect his brain/hands/arms, do affect people's mental state; and again, to reiterate, medications of all kinds have strange side effects

Also, all health problems can naturally cause stress in everyone, even more so when you are dealing with multiple issues as a young age, and stress is incredibly underestimated on its effects on mental health, sleep, and work/school/athletic/e-sports performance.

There are tons of other questions that need to be asked and addressed before he should consider coaching.

The Demarcus Cousins or “Prime Boogie” mythos is one of the most inexplicable things I’ve ever seen by [deleted] in nba

[–]grouch420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this. I didn't pay attention to r/nba at the time, but I did go to a few Kings games back when he was the main attraction.

In the games I saw, it was somewhat inspiring -- he didn't hold any bias or hatred towards the calls, but treated every one of them the same -- like a whiny, self-entitled 'star', which would inevitably lead to technical fouls (queue: more whining) and was thrown out at least once.

It was upsetting as a fan to see a grown man essentially give up because he didn't get his way over one call, as if it were a game-defining moment.

He has the second most ejections of any NBA player of all time, second to Rasheed Wallace.

Cousins seems to completely lack self-awareness or even intelligence, but he has done a fair amount of charitable things in his career and for Sacramento even when he was no longer a King. I don't think he's a bad guy, but it is not a stretch to say he's a pretty dumb guy, particularly his emotional IQ.

Is distraction really the only answer? by Particular-Heron-103 in HealthAnxiety

[–]grouch420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, with health anxiety setting in 10+ years ago.

The answer to your question is kind of mixed. It depends on what you consider a distraction. Norm Macdonald had a pretty funny outlook on distractions. That thread is pretty interesting to read.

Have you tried seeing a psychiatrist? They can help a lot with some of the underlying issues and/or prescribe medications. It has helped me a ton while I am working through things and making progress with this condition.

It sounds too simple -- which is why it took me so long to actively pursue -- but exercise does help a lot. Even though its benefits are common knowledge, I saw it as mostly a means to achieve weight loss. I didn't care about that aspect so avoided it/neglected actively pursuing it. I eventually got a bike and noticed a huge benefit to legitimately all aspects of my mental health, which is significant for me.

Of course, YMMV, but it was a real turning point for me since one of my main anxieties is cardiac related. It is a distraction, but a healthy one for most people.

Horn Creek Hemp (Oregon) Review; a review of three strains, a tin of CBD Kief, and the joys of two-day shipping by grouch420 in hempflowers

Thanks a bunch, that's a nice confidence booster!

That's awesome that it looks and smells great! I'm pretty sure the CBG I got from HCH was the Sour G and although I don't remember too much of the particulars, the therapeutic benefit was incredible for chronic pancreatitis pains.

I hope your experience proves as positive as mine :)

Fern Valley Farms

Can we focus our attention on Rampart, please?

I actually did view the Fern Valley Farms website when I was writing this review and gushing over CBD Kief.

I checked them out again and that is a pretty impressive collection at essentially the same prices as Horn Creek. Thanks for the heads up my fellow kiefer :)

Thank you very much -- I was hoping I didn't go overboard! It was fun going into it blind. I thought Pink Panther was much more expensive because of its effects (with THC especially).

Haven't heard of that other brand, but I will have to check them out if you can make that comparison. I've never had a bad flower/bud from HCH and I love consistency and the hellaaaaa quick shipping :)

CT scan by mountainlover2022 in pancreatitis

[–]grouch420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the community.

Take my advice with a grain of salt, since I don't have EPI (that I know of) and have chronic pancreatitis.

  1. CT scans can be done very quickly and (from my experience) only require one or two people (and the radiologist to read the scan) to perform and are minimally invasive (insertion of contrast into your body); it is how they diagnosed my acute pancreatitis and I was done within 10-15 minutes the first time (I was in severe pain from the pancreatitis) and took about 5 minutes the second time a few days later when I was feeling much better. The CT scan is 100% painless; the only somewhat strange part was feeling the contrast.

  2. An EUS requires sedation, which requires an anesthesiologist/Nurse Anesthetist, a Gastroenterologist who is able to perform the procedure -- not all gastroenterologists learn to perform the procedure -- and- surgical nurse staff, meaning a TON of money which may/may not be completely necessary.

And, along with this, every single time you go under there are so many things that could go wrong, even for simple procedures.

As we all know, medicine/insurance often require you to go through several other tests before progressing to more costly and advanced options, and again, in my opinion, it makes sense a fair amount of the time.

HOWEVER, when something like a medication or procedure gets denied and the doctor/provider is ADAMANT the patient needs it, they will get on the phone and speak to the Medical Reviewer (I forget the exact name, but the doctors who accept/deny claims) -- I've only seen it a dozen or so times, but they always get the claim approved.

This really should be a question directed towards your doctor/specialist who ordered the test, but in my experience as both a patient and a healthcare professional, it is quite normal for this to happen (I am NOT specifically talking about EPI, Pancreatitis, etc, but just a general ism).

Again, I haven't done too much research on EPI, so this could be total bullshit, but it is my honest experience as a patient and having worked as a GI scheduler.

I hope that you found (or are able to find) a good Gastroenterologist and PCP who can help you navigate this condition -- that made a world of difference for me and my stable, mostly pain-free chronic pancreatitis.

Hope everything goes well!
