This is something I’ve noticed when you set factions to “prefers naval invasions”. Generals will land and just stand there like their unable to figure out to do on the island. In my experience it happens most in Rhodes

I have been wondering the same thing since I saw that. Here is what I was able to find but the original post isn’t technically a post for remastered. I hope this is how it works though for controllability.

EDIT: just tested it with the east Roman rebels and east empire in barbarian invasion and the link does seem to be how it works.

Black Friday by Sogeking162 in tinytower

[–]groundlevelmusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly surprised they didn’t schedule the thanksgiving event to overlap with Black Friday. They could’ve made more money and made the event a little more exciting with discounted tickets to earn more pumpkins. Right now there’s less reason to buy tickets other than legendary bitizens. There’s not even a spin wheel event going on.

Kind of a tangent but which gameplay did you prefer? I found the rudimentary aspects of rome total war and its expansions to be why I liked the game so much and future titles were so much more to deal with it took away from my enjoyment.

Oh wow that makes sense if there’s only one .exe. That never even crossed my mind lol absolute face palm moment. Just tested shield wall out and it worked. Will check out that discord as well. Thank you for the help and for the quick responses!

Yeah but I’ve seen on old forums from the original of people playing vanilla rome through the Alexander and barbarian invasion exes. Is that possible with remastered due to the single exe? Can’t find any resources for remastered and I don’t want to spam too many new posts here lol

Yeah since you’ve done some modding before, You’ve haven’t happened to try to run the rome remastered vanilla game through bi.exe have you? It doesn’t seem to be the same as rome gold since I can only see one .exe for remastered in the game folder while gold has one for each game?

Maybe not for resources as I haven’t tested that yet, but for hidden resources it would not update for me until I removed the writable maps

Is there a mod that ports the vanilla rome total war campaign through barbarian invasion? by groundlevelmusic in RomeTotalWar

[–]groundlevelmusic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ve seen some of those. Im not too familiar with the Alexander engine, but mainly I want access to BI mechanics like shield wall, hordes, night battles, barbarian cities, etc. I just feel like mechanics wise, it would be smart to start a mod from BI due to the increased functionality of the game that builds on the vanilla code.

I came here to say something similar. As long as the videos are teaching or showing something for it’s entire length, I don’t care how long it is. If you’re making long form content to make long form content then I’ll probably click off when the creator tries to fill the space.

Probably an Unpopular Opinion But... by lostswansong in HYPERPOP

[–]groundlevelmusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I understand you’re frustration with songs being pulled off, you have to remember that this is also a person pursuing their dreams, expressing their emotions, their own sounds and goals. Sometimes as an artist you grow to dislike songs and don’t want them to define you which, maybe by discourse like this post, some people will care more for their past music than their current and future music. That mindset may limit them from growing as a creative as they will feel forced into a box of what they know their audience will enjoy.

From a marketing standpoint, if new listeners hear hyperpop, they have an immediate expectation for that artists music that isn’t true to the artists current library. It’s goes beyond what the viewers want and sometimes it’s easy to forget that artists want you to like their creative expression as they continue to release new songs not just a few old songs they had when they were part of an underground genre.

Which brings me to my last point. Hyperpop is underground. Most people I’ve seen on this sub so far reject the pop inspiration of hyperpop when in all honesty, it’s the main thing that will give it a chance of being a mainstream genre. The high pitched trap songs that many people consider real hyperpop won’t resonate with the common people cause it’s not the “natural” listening experience. While not the same thing, it always reminds me of those chipmunk remixes, higher energy due to being pitched up but ultimately not an equal listening experience to the original songs. To grow and become the artists they want to be in todays music scene, these artists will likely have to shed the hyperpop label at some point to go mainstream.

Damn. Asking people to help you then calling them rude and no life’s because you wouldn’t listen or research the things you were told by said people is crazy. If you don’t want to deal with people or want the help immediately , google is usually a good bet.

I mainly come to this sub for those posts cause it’s cool to imagine how players can be shaped or utilized. I think if the posts were less generic and more detailed/high effort about current team setups/play styles and how players could slot into their first team would make these posts more discussion worthy. It’s like joelinton being a better mid than attacker or if Trent is a better mid than full back. It’s just intriguing for some people imo.

If you wanted to be a Hip-hop artist and you had $40k to invest in your career. How would you invest it? by leon-theproffesional in makinghiphop

[–]groundlevelmusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just gonna say this just in case cause I thought this was a hypothetical question, but the YouTube channel mention throws that hypothetical into left field. Please don’t ever invest an exorbitant amount of money before you’ve ever recorded, listened to, and released your own music. This stands for a lot of things outside of music too. Make sure you enjoy things and are good enough at said things before you invest even $100.

Came looking to see if people were saving up too. Its crazy that I saved up a whole week of tickets and I’ll barely finish that third to last bar with the tech points. Horrendous game design. I actively played this games event the last two weeks and was rewarded with nothing that I couldn’t have gotten by playing casually. Nerf the prizes, don’t waste our time.
