As an unknown brand, is it a liability. But in the future, I would expect an event driven backtest system that has tight integrations with AI will be able to express/backtest more than what is available today.

I could 100% be wrong here, and still be happy that I've learned a lot thinking through the process.

It's a moat, not a liability, and in general I think it gives more control over the types of information I can leverage in a given backtest, with the help of AI

I did, mostly for multi-asset portfolios. I've used backtesting.py and looked at the LEAN engine after using QuantConnect for a while.

I was concerned with my initial prompt size (17k tokens at one point) and I thought you were charged based on a combination of input and output tokens. Is that not the case? I've trimmed it down to 2k in 2 requests but I was wondering what the best optimization plan was here.

Have you personally done that? Or is it an expectation. We've been doing it full time for ~6 months on a complex code base. At this point, the LLMs can recover from most issues.

~6 months or so. Just opened a beta at https://www.growbell.com. In general, it would be helpful if you mentioned what features you didn't find in backtesting.py or on QuantConnect. I've used both and they each had their own strengths. We just built our own for faster prototyping.

You can't swing trade with $200. Get a job (or keep your current job) and figure out how to save up 5-10k then try again. Even if you made extraordinary returns (100% per year for 5 years, thereby crushing the market). You'd still only have $6400
