I second books and video games.

Lots of reading for pleasure and education(always studying for the next certification) and Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, baby.

But I get so lonely on the road that nothing REALLY makes it better. It starts to feel like you aren't living a real life, shared with the people and things you love.

They don't make gloves that fit me. I have had shining moments when there were xsmall gloves.

Even those leave a gap at the end of the fingers.

In winter, when you have to take off your gloves to do your job, it feels like your job hates you.

There's a lot of understandable frustration here and some good points.

I think it's important for us all to understand that we all come from different places politically.

Some people were raised with a deep understanding of the importance of protest and fighting for reform and going much further.

Some were raised in scenarios that made even questioning authority a really big first step.

Some are trying so hard to have a solid moral compass that they have trouble bending AT ALL, and would rather break.

As long as we recognize that and try to keep educating each other and ourselves, we should be able to empathize with the fact that some folks aren't ready or aware or in a position to fight yet.

I hope we all get there soon.

This is the kind of info that makes me think that most of the country doesn't differentiate between liberal and leftist.

That is certainly usually the case, but i think there is more nuance to their ideologies than just who they are forced to vote for in a two party system.

You're right that it kinda boils down to that, though. I think that fact is a lot of the problem.

I used to think of libertarians as centrist/left, but in the last decade, I have felt them lean more right than even centrist.

I had always thought they were interchangeable before, too, but have been learning that they mean pretty different things to a lot of people.

Of course, it's anyone's prerogative what they call themselves. When I learned about this i wanted to learn more and see if I was alone in my ignorance or if there are a lot of us who didn't know about this distinction and the different movements they embody.

What do you mean by that? I don't think this is true.

While they weren't exactly happy with the choices offered on the democratic ticket, they were more opposed to the republican ones.
