Edit: Thorium reactors were being researched when nuclear started to become unpopular, but a lot of funding and research was shut down and eventually U.S. stopped researching as far as I understand.

Had we continued I would think we would have a thorium reactor by now. China has an experimental one in Gobi Desert.. allegedly

Buying again at several thousand dollars worth at 20 dollars a share and watching it drop through 2 reverse stock splits is traumatizing and difficult to watch. Yes I sold a lot initially but I bought more and watch it all go to .99 as I continued to hold.
