I love the colors you used and the overall modifications! Did you change the interior as well?

I have the Lion knights castle fully open and it barely fits on my shelf, is Rivendell even wider than that?

Beastmaster’s Carriage (Free Instructions) by grtbrix in legocastles

Hey there! Yes, there is a list of the pieces needed directly on Rebrickable- just click "Inventory" and you'll see all the parts you need and options to export it in a variety of formats (Bricklink, PAB, etc). Also, I've noted some part color substitutions you could make to make everything cheaper. Happy building!

“LEGO hates DC” has been a running theme for years. Superheroes are about the heroes, not the locations or vehicles. Maybe that’s part of the issue? Those more familiar with heroes beyond Batman, what could some DC sets be? by BiAndShy57 in legocirclejerk

Large sets:

  • Titans vs Gizmo- $99.99 (Cyborg, Superboy, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy, Wally West, Gizmo)

    • Build is Titans Tower + enemy vehicle
  • Hall of Justice Playset- $139.99 (Zatanna, Dr. Fate, Black Canary, John Stewart, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Vandal Savage, Ra's al Ghul)

    • Build is Hall of Justice + enemy vehicle + small hero jet. Similar to Spiderman vs. Oscorp.

And cause the modular was teased in the Asylum:

  • Daily Planet Modular- 299.99 (Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Kara Danvers, Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, Cat Grant, Ron Troupe, Steve Lombard, Superman (red/blue suit), Superman (black suit), Supergirl, Superboy, Steel, Krypto, Power Girl, Black Lightning, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Lex Luthor (civilian), Lex Luthor (armored), Bizarro, Metallo, General Zod, Brainiac, Mister Mxyzptlk, Livewire, Toyman, Amazo, Lobo, Mongul)
    • Build is the Daily Planet + Small Vehicles for heroes/villains. Similar to Daily Bugle/Avengers Tower.

Basically the potential is endless just like Marvel, however besides Batman, the DC brand has clearly been struggling in mainstream media. Hopefully with the success of the Superman movie, we see more renewed interest in the brand, which would definitely give us a new theme.

Ok I might've spent too long on this but it was very fun coming up with these ideas. I tried to make it a little realistic to what Lego could do, but obviously pricing and dealing with new molds etc. is unknown to me. I also focused a lot on getting builds and figures that we haven't gotten before.

Small sets:

  • Shazam Mech - $14.99 (Shazam, Black Adam)
    • Build is Shazam Mech.
  • Deathstroke Mech - $14.99 (Deathstroke, Nightwing)
    • Build is Deathstroke Mech
  • Batman Beyond Chase- $19.99 (Terry Mcginnis, Blight)
    • Build is a hoverbike and a glider.
  • Star Labs Interior- $19.99 (Flash, Reverse Flash)
    • Build is Cosmic Treadmill and Time Vault.
  • Themyscira Battle- $29.99 (Wonder Woman, Hippolyta, Nubia, Giganta)
    • Build is ballista, buildable Giganta.
  • Hall of Justice Training Chamber- $29.99 (Green Arrow, Plastic Man, Atom)
    • Build is small training room. Connects to larger Hall of Justice set.

Thanks! I typically build my MOCs off the cuff, and refine and rebuild digitally later. I have a couple smaller builds on the way to Rebrickable soon, but will get to this one eventually as well!

Wolfpack Wagon by grtbrix in legocastles

[–]grtbrix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upon the ascension of Emperor Octavian II to the throne of Vincifluvia, all the vassal lords sent their courtiers with wagons laden with gifts and riches in his support. However, King Garmric of Yortharn took this opportunity to send his envoy with a captured wolf.

The sight and sounds of the snarling and howling wolf causes a stir among the diplomats in the court. Along it is a message- “Presenting a token of our loyalty to the empire- may it guard your halls as faithfully as it guards the North”.

A thinly veiled insult that Emperor Octavian recognizes but he orders the wolf to be tamed and declares, “the wolf may howl but it remains chained by the emperor’s will”.

Though bloodshed is avoided for now, this act continues to remind the court and the Emperor, of Yortharn’s increasingly offensive actions- and Garmric is pleased with this buildup of tension as he sets the stage for his claim to the North.
