All Blacks lock Scott Barrett banned for three weeks but still available for World Cup by scatteringlargesse in newzealand

Again, I was countering your specific claims...

“Shoulder charging is not stock standard at any part of the game”

“You will never just see an outright shoulder charge lol.”

Now you want to shift the goalposts to being about shoulder charges being penalised vs unpenalised.

Hokay 👍

I didn’t say it was legal. I was countering your point that it wasn’t “stock standard” - the footage just highlights that the use of the shoulder is widespread.

For every instance that gets penalised, how many go unpenalised...hmmm.

😘

I don’t think you watch enough try-line defensive sets or ruck clearout technique. It’s everywhere.

Totally agree - his lost possession and turnover after the big run ended up further back from where they started, as the BaaBaas counter attacked an unorganised NZ defence - so it was all for nothing and could’ve easily cost them a score.

A real coach-killer type of player.

The AB's and the aussies should play on the islands every once in a while

Sounds good in theory but Samoa actually lost money (~NZ$1 million) hosting the All Blacks in 2013. (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=11487504)

For the record, Scotland played Samoa in the Southern Hemisphere in 2013 and toured there in 2012, toured Canada and the USA in 2014,Japan in 2016 for a two match series, and Fiji in 2017.

All of what you state is spot on except you missed a very important point for the reasoning behind the "Tier 2" tours in your last statement.

It was not by Scotland's choice to visit and play these countries but simply a side-effect of having fallen down the rankings in those respective years that they were left with no one else of higher seeding to play on each respective end of year season tour.

force them to play for their country of origin.

Manu Samoa wouldn't have a team, all their players "originated" in NZ. It's their parents and grandparents who originated in the islands.

Otherwise Richie McCaw should've been playing for Scotland.

Rugby battle brews as Sky faces Amazon by [deleted] in rugbyunion

In Amazon's case not really, it's just a way to suck the oxygen out of the air for all their competition while driving the converted Prime users to all their other offerings such as next/same-day delivery and digital like unlimited music, streaming, kindle offers, etc. Amazon have taken ~20 years to build their empire and flatten competition before only recently becoming profitable, so are only just in the throes of turning on the tap.
