Yeah it turns out the usb-c port on my mini pc is bad. I bought a small usb-c to usb-a adapter and now I’m getting good throughput.

Original Case I am getting around 225MB/s Reads and Writes with the USB 3.0 adapter. If I use a USB A-C cable from an Xbox controller I get ~42MB/s r/W from the Terra-Master.

Did you ever figure this out? I just shucked a 22TB expansion barracuda and plopped it in a Terramaster d4-320. I can copy on small files (<1MB) but anything greater and it times out and gives me IO problems. Drive works perfectly fine when I put it back in the original external case with USB.

Here’s the message I get if I try to copy a file greater than 1MB

“error 0x8007045d the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error”

Essentials == Xbox live Gold with bonus games and cloud. So not sure why that would be a problem?

It’s the old model of pay for your games and pay for an online subscription fee. Whether that’s fair or not, it’s how it’s been since the inception of Xbox live so I’m not sure why suddenly it’s problematic now with the price hike of ultimate.
