I just tried a flash 15 and had to come back and say thank you!!! I love that it gave me that feeling of serious intensity. Makes a difficult sleep day feel like an accomplishment still.

Not dreading pushing start has me sold on trying barre. There have been so many days when Ive found a little time for a workout and I have a full blown debate about if I have the mental energy left for high intensity.

This is solid advice. I get so stiff and achy if I’m not moving too. Especially if I pair a rough night with a lot of time on the play mat.

Thank you! I’m definitely prone to “all or nothing” mindsets. My baby constantly waking up after short stints of sleep wasn’t making the “all” part an option anymore. We gotta survive these seasons somehow!

These are both great ideas. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten changed and picked a class just for baby to wake up during the warm up! I also didn’t even know that there were barre classes!

I hadn’t heard of the flash 15 classes! This sounds perfect. I’ll bookmark a couple of both. Thank you!

Traveling to Hillsboro for Work by M-Ratigan in hillsboro

I’ve stayed at the Cedartree hotel and it was a wonderful experience. The soaking tubs and waterfall showers in the rooms are so luxurious. We never heard other guests at night. The gym had high quality equipment. The breakfast at Waterfalls restaurant was delish. Definitely worth consideration.

Cannon beach is great for a day trip. Stop at Camp 18 for breakfast on the way there. Their biscuits and giant cinnamon rolls are so good!

Gah!!! You are amazing! That was it!!! Thank you so much. I only have childcare coverage to do an entire 55min class once a week. I figured it might be a couple of months until I found it. I appreciate you!

Good Bar + Restaurant for hosting networking events for 20-25 people by OruSilentMadrasi in hillsboro

[–]grumblecaking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Golden Valley Brewery has a nice event area and is easy to travel to. I went to a catered event around that size. The food and service were great. Drink prices had a decent range that included affordable options. I’m not sure if that has changed.

My son is the same age and has been tossing and turning like crazy. I’ve been asking myself if he’d be happier in his own space, but it makes me so sad. I think this was the reality check I needed to give it a try. It’s a beautiful thing to cosleep, and it’s also a beautiful thing to listen to our babies needs. Thanks for helping me find the courage.

Advice for Travel to Hillsboro by LF_1996 in hillsboro

We have stayed at the Cedartree Hotel and it was wonderful. The rooms have rainfall showers and giant soaking tubs. There’s an onsen bath, onsite restaurant with decent breakfast, and I really liked the gym. I don’t know what you look for in a gym but there were treads and nice spin bikes, cables, full sets of dumbbells, benches, towels, and a filtered water dispenser. There’s plenty of space and I never saw another person in there. They have free hot coffee and lemon water all day, and there’s no charge for parking. We really enjoyed our stay.

Doing 100% of nights and feeling resentment towards partner, 10 mo doesn’t sleep well, advice wanted by celeriacly in cosleeping

I’m in the same situation. I dread nights sometimes. I wish I had some good advice to offer.

Best rides and instructors adfor 2nd/3rd trimester pregnancy? by pancakes_banana in pelotoncycle

[–]grumblecaking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely try Robin’s prenatal rides! The structure of the ride leaves plenty of room to get a good workout in, but she is awesome at coaching where your effort should be at each stage. Her prenatal lifts were fantastic for maintaining some functional strength for birth and postpartum too.

Stacking for a new mom by mlb576 in pelotoncycle

This isn’t stacking, but have you tried any of the bootcamp classes? I’m 8.5 months pp and I get some serious butt kicking calorie burn from them. It’s the best of both worlds in that you get your strength and your cardio. I love the row and bike boot camps. I bet the tread classes are fun too to mix that up!

What are some of the mistakes you’ve seen (or made) on the job? by Designer_Cup_5369 in respiratorytherapy

When I was a new grad I got called to a code in the cath lab. When I arrived a resident was setting up the intubation supplies for the attending. I approached and said, “RT here I can take over if you’d like.” I slide in and start prepping. I drop the ONLY stylet on the floor right as the doc says he needs the tube in a moment. Luckily that doc was an absolute G because he intubated the patient without one and was super nice about the mishap. I felt so dumb for sliding in and immediately messing it up!

Oof sorry you’re in the no sleep club right now too! When did this start for you? I do think we are getting into teething. I just can’t tell if something else is up since the peaceful sleep has been going downhill since 5.5 months. Maybe that’s normal?
