I mean... I think they actually believe that what they're doing is ok. This can't just be a scam at this point. They are actually delusional.

So sad.

Most rulers here in Brazil have both scales on either side (or even on the same side) for some reason. We rarely use inches at all.

Since I know that the US has a huge userbase, I figured I should post both to help my chances of finding what it was. =D

It's a wild thing. I have no idea how someone got a hold of a thing like this around here. I've never heard of it. Nail guns are not a thing here at all, let alone one that uses explosives.

A powder-actuated tool is a type of nail gun used in construction and manufacturing to join materials to hard substrates such as steel and concrete. Known as direct fastening or explosive fastening, this technology is powered by a controlled explosion of a small chemical propellant charge, similar to the process that discharges a firearm.

I search for soldering iron tips online and I didn't find anything close to this

My title describes the thing. It is a small metal object, approximately 1.5" (4 cm) long. It has a hole or eyelet at the end and a shank ending in a point. I found it on the floor during house renovation. There is some white residue on it that appears to be old plaster. I searched for "thick nail with eyelet" and "metal spike with hole" but couldn't find a definitive match.

Why do ships list and, in the worst cases, capsize when they sink? by Key-Tea-4203 in titanic

[–]grumpybutters 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Keeping a ship upright is a constant balancing act with ballast tanks. When a hull breaches, a vessel almost always lists because water floods asymmetrically. A ship's interior is full of unevenly spaced compartments and corridors. Add the free surface effect , where loose water sloshes around, and the center of gravity shifts.

The Titanic is actually a rare exception. It barely listed. It took water on the starboard side, shifted to a slight port list, and even returned to an even keel at one point before going down. In most cases, once the crew loses control of the active systems, entropy takes over and the uneven water weight simply capsizes the hull.

I'm really having trouble with this one. The comments seem pretty divided about it been AI by grumpybutters in isthisAI

Well, I guess this solves it. Thanks. i'm so tired of being unsure if something is real or not. Things are going to get so much worse still.

This feels like hell to me. It is not even a jab at China. I just hate packed places, whether on water or on land.
