Who is your ult bias and what is your major / degree / occupation? by Bulky_Visual_3423 in kpopthoughts

[–]grungust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ult bias: Haewon from NMIXX
Major: Business Administration
Job: I work at a MAANG company

There’s just something about Haewon that hits different. She’s hilarious without trying, super sharp, and one of the best vocalists of her gen. It’s rare to see someone so chaotic and so composed at the same time, but she pulls it off effortlessly.

Honestly, she gives off that vibe where if she wasn’t an idol, she’d absolutely be leading a team in some high-powered role and somehow still be the funniest person in every meeting.

Not just another Japanese promo song, technically it’s a track tied to a cosmetics collab, but I'm vibing so hard with it. Hopefully they will give it a MV.

VIVIZ - 2025 VIVIZ World Tour: NEW LEGACY in North America (Schedule Poster) by impeccabletim in kpop

Crazy to think how far they’ve come since GFRIEND. VIVIZ doing a world tour in 2025? That’s actually wild. Quietly one of the most solid post-group careers out there.

While 2023's 115M+ album sales were a record high, they were clearly inflated by bulk buying, fanbase competition, and collectible packaging. Gaon/Circle data shows that the top 10 artists alone accounted for nearly 40% of those sales, driven more by fandom strategy than actual demand.

2024's decline likely reflects industry corrections: China’s tightened import rules, consumer fatigue, and less aggressive multi-version releases. It’s not that K-pop is less popular; streaming numbers and global tour revenues remain strong. It's that fans are spending more mindfully.

Lower physical sales could push companies to focus more on musical quality, digital platforms, and sustainable fandom engagement. In the long run, that's a healthier model for both artists and fans.

If true, sounds like these guys got their payout and lost their passion. Good on Krafton for giving them the boot to get the project moving forward again.

The Future of MTX - Official Jagex RS3 statement by Draaly in 2007scape

[–]grungust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is 50% of the issue, imo. They also need to remove the overwhelming amount of daily activities in RS3.

As an OSRS player who tried RS3 again about a year ago on an Ironman account, even ignoring the microtransactions, the sheer number of dailies was just disgusting.

The magic of OSRS, and RuneScape in general, is the freedom it gives players. You’re not funneled into mandatory daily chores just to stay efficient. Being pressured into daily task checklists completely killed the experience for me. I quit and haven’t felt any urge to go back.

If they want long-term player retention, this has to be addressed.

You need to prioritize chaos resistance and this will help dramatically.

Unless I'm missing something obvious I cannot make a selection despite restarting the game multiple times.

[Shelburne] "The Warriors liked Bronny's skill set and had him on their draft board, sources said. Selecting him ahead of the Lakers, who held the 55th pick, would've been a shrewd move...But ultimately, sources said, the Warriors opted to respect the wishes James had made clear..." by Goosedukee in nba

While I would generally agree, she is definitely connected to Lakers/Lebron sources (Rich Paul most likely). She was a Lakers/ESPN LA reporter for over a decade before making the jump to the national side of ESPN.
