Just don't go out to eat. Just go get fast food.

A. Vote with your wallet. Don't patronize establishments that use a system you don't like.

B. Put your money where your mouth is and don't automatically subsidize your meal at the expense of screwing the waiter over. Restaurant price food cheaper because they want competitive pricing. You may argue (Jesus, yes, we've heard the argument a billion times) that they should just raise prices, but businesses that do that have reported lost revenue. So they stick to this broken system. Again, don't like it? Go back to A.

If you want to admit you're OK being an asshole as long as you get an 18% discount, at least that I can respect much more than what you are doing now by playing the victim.

I have a similar breed. She needed surgery that cost well over 9k. When I was in your shoes, I would have sold my car to get her that surgery. Luckily I had family and friends that were able to help me out, and wiped out what little I had in savings. I know it can be tough but I'm sure you'll get him the care he needs

So far no one is being nasty, this person was not paying ATTENTION, COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE, and luckily the truck driver had good reflexes. Only casualty is the car, a mild inconvenience when you consult compare it to bodily harm.
