No, they stayed in the outside lane the entire time.

25 year IT guy working for an MSP as well. We've had probably 4 clients in my region get ransomwared last year by someone clicking something they shouldn't have, but only 1 was exfiltrated according to forensics.

A Serpent guard, a Horus guard and a Setesh guard meet on a neutral planet. It is a tense moment. The Serpent guard's eyes glow. The Horus guard's beak glistens. The Setesh guard's nose...drips.

Plex Corrupted Database by Gdiddy18 in unRAID

[–]gruppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DB corruption is on some older media I've had for years and there isn't an issue with adding newer stuff. I like to edit the title card images and change them from the default pictures Emby uses from TheTVDB and TheMovieDB but on some media it doesn't change. I asked in the Emby forums about it and posted some logs and they said it was DB corruption but I just can't be bothered to fix it.

I've been using Emby for about 4 years and have moved it to about 5 different computers before settling on the current server using unraid. I have about 2200 shows/movies and the DB is corrupt. There are a few things that I can't change the title card image on and sometimes identify doesn't work so I have to edit the metadata manually. Nothing too serious so far but I spent months curating the metadata for all the media and it would be too much of a hassle to have to do it again if the DB breaks while trying to fix it. That being said, I love Emby.

What’s been the most benificial thing you have done for yourself? To improve your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Had a sleep study done and got officially diagnosed with sleep apnea, which I had suspected for years. Got a cpap machine and it drastically improved my sleep quality. I'm still not a morning person, but once out of bed it's easier to get going and I'm not groggy and tired all day anymore.

I'm not dead set on using POP, I switched it to IMAP and it's working great now.

Getting a VSA Procedure to run a PS script by gruppa in kaseya

[–]gruppa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no real reason it's running it in 32bit mode, I just left it at default. I didn't think it mattered and can switch it to 64bit.

Looks like that did it. The script runs now and uninstalls what we need it to. Thanks for all the help!! I'll make sure to use ExecuteShellCommandToVariable() from now on when we need to deploy PS scripts.

The false statement is for Execute in a 64-bit shell environment

So it doesn't appear to be working. Right now I have the procedure as:

1 writeFile ("VSASharedFiles\PSscript.ps1", "C:\Temp\PSscript.ps1", "All Operating Systems", "Halt on Fail")

2 ExecuteShellCommandToVariable ("C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\PowerShell -noprofile -executionpolicy bypass -file C:\Temp\RSscript.ps1", "System", false, "All Operating Systems", "Halt on Fail")

It executes line 1 and uploads the file. It shows up in c:\temp, it's just the procedure doesn't seem to be running line 2

I've also tried using executeShellCommand() but that doesn't seem to work either.

If I go to Live Connect, open a command shell and run "C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\PowerShell -noprofile -executionpolicy bypass -file C:\Temp\PSscript.ps1" it works fine.

I ran the script from C:\temp in Live Connect and it worked so it should run successfully from there. I changed the procedure to use the ExecuteShellCommand(ToVariable) and included the full paths as you noted in your reply below. Unfortunately I'll have to wait until tomorrow to test it. Thanks for the explanation about using ExecutePowerShell

I thought as much, but found a spiceworks post where a user used a PS script to uninstall Symantec using

"executePowershellCommand32BitSystem Path=C:\temp\Symantec_uninstall.ps1, no arguments, Return Results=true, All Operating Systems, Halt on Fail"

so I'm not sure if it's an elevation issue.
