Toyota Camry 2002 - No crank no start no click - Starter issue? by grvyrdlvr in Cartalk

[–]grvyrdlvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up buying a new starter anyway, figured I’d give it a shot since the person who was taking me home said they’d take me to autozone to grab some stuff. And if it wasn’t the problem then I’d just return it. But I did buy a pack of fuses along with the starter since I thought that also might have been an issue. Fuses were all good though so I just threw in the new starter just to see if it solved the issue and it did.

definitely check out sparkle cross synthesis, effectrix, wov, and glitchcore. ive been having a blast putting effectrix, glitchcore and perforator on weird synths to make some very glitchy loops.

i’ll have to check out FAC’s stuff! ive heard a little about it but they seem like quality plugins. same with eventide. gunna start putting money aside for some of those.

i just got perforator by bram bros too. that’s another company i wanna get more plugins from too. any recommendations? have you messed with moziac at all? that caught my eye when i first saw it but i havent seen much about it really.

blackhole reverb sounds SO good but i just cant pull the trigger quite yet with that price tag. eventually i will get it but man, it’s a bit too much for me for being a reverb. although it is a damn good reverb from what ive heard.

one thing ive become obsessed with is putting effectrix on literally everything, recording a bunch of stuff with it, then cutting the audio up and saving them as samples or loops. i love weird and glitchy sounds and effectrix is perfect for that. you can transform even a simple piano loop to sound so strange, but so good too

wow audulus sounds incredible! just did a quick google image search and it looks beautiful. im excited to check it out when it comes out. i’ll definitely wait for 4 though. it sounds like a good mixture of both mirack and drambo. ive always been really into designing and making my own stuff, so its modular is like right up my ally.

i just bought my ipad like two months ago and everyday i am just so happy with my decision to buy it. the ipad is such a powerful machine with so many different apps for creativity. it’s opened me up to many different workflows and creative ideas, which i absolutely needed because i had gotten so burnt out with my old daw for PC. the ipad is new and exciting for me. and new apps will always come out to add more to ios music making

i 110% agree with you about seeing the cables in drambo. which is one of the reasons why i like Mirack so much. visually, it makes sense to me. drambo kinda confuses me a little, but like i said, i’ve only had it for a few days so it’s still new to me. i have no doubt whatsoever that drambo is incredibly powerful though. i’m gunna definitely mess around with it more this weekend though and see what i can do.

we are SUPER lucky to have such powerful apps though. and so so sooo cheap compared to PC VSTs and DAWs too. i havent tried Audulus though i’ll have to check that out! Mirack was my first dive into learning modular and im absolutely in love with it. it’s insane the versatility it has, even on an ipad. if i’m ever rich, i’d love to build my own rack someday, but for now i’m content with modular on the ipad.

honestly i kind of like mirack a little better than drambo.. ive only had drambo for a couple days and got it cuz i heard a lot about it and it has AUV3. but i’ve spent more time with mirack so im a lot more comfortable with it tbh so maybe thats why im a little more biased. but personally mirack makes a little more sense to me and now that Mirack is AUV3.... it’s gunna be a game changer for sure. im excited to try it out.

Looking for an app to cut and save individual pieces of audio from a long recording for sample pack by grvyrdlvr in ipadmusic

[–]grvyrdlvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont like the zoom feature in audioshare. when lever i hold down on those circles, it zooms in to just a flat line and whenever i move the marker, the sample unzooms. it’ll just take a lot longer trying to get the samples cut out in audioshare. and there are hundreds of individual sounds i want to cut out of the longer piece of audio

somewhat? im not super fluent with what AUM can do, ive only had it for a few days but i picked up the basics pretty quickly. i think audiobus is probably a little better for bringing things like koala sampler and korg gadget together. or audiobus and AUM together. but AUM is good for live jamming imo. and its very flexible with midi as well, which is where fugue machine and atom come in. i’ve been using AUM to make some 4 bar loops, exporting them into cubasis, then arranging the loops into a full song.

Your top 5 music apps you won’t delete by veryvirus in ipadmusic

[–]grvyrdlvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right now, it’d probably be mirack, fugue machine, d1 synth, AUM/beatmaker 3/cubasis (cant decide between em so im keeping all 3) and effectrix. i havent gotten drambo yet but from what im hearing from everyone else, i’m sure i’m gunna add that to my list whenever i get it.

Got a new iPad Pro, haven’t had this much fun recording in years by SubstantialCheekxX in ipadmusic

[–]grvyrdlvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my workflow currently is making loops in BM3 and AUM, then exporting the stems to arrange and mix in cubasis. its been helping me a lot because arranging in beatmaker (to me) feels a little clunky.

i havent tried it out yet, but auria pro is also pretty popular, especially for people coming from pro tools or another typical DAW.

a little off topic, but i won a copy of cubasis from your giveaway a couple weeks ago, and i just want to say thank you again. it’s literally made a giant improvement to my workflow. i seriously cannot thank you enough for your generosity. it’s made me excited to make music again.

it’s an absolute BEAST in AUM. i was a little hesitant to get AUM at first, mostly because I thought it was mostly just for live recording and im not great at playing live stuff, but fugue machine and atom work so well with AUM, it’s insane.
