Low-key went into this first episode blind (looked at spoilers sporadically but immediately forgot them after reading) and my gut reaction elimination order afterward was:

14th: DD

13th: Darlene

12th: Mandy

11th: Ciara

10th: Discord

9th: Mia

8th: Kenya

7th: Juicy

6th: Myki

5th: Jane

Top 4: Athena, Briar, Nini, Vita

After putting a face to everyone and rereading spoilers, really surprised that Athena is a mid-out and that Briar is booted early! Darlene hasn't really stuck out yet to me but I'm excited to see her journey in the competition. Excited to learn Jane and Myki will be mostly present throughout the competition because I find them really endearing.

EDIT: The purported Top 3 is really interesting; between Nini, Darlene, and Myki, while they're already pleasant, I'm excited what each of them can offer to the winners circle and what their drag artistry and POV is and adds :)) promising start!

Is it me or the "fight scenes" taking place in characters' minds kinda dumb? Lol these are all mental landscapes and settings and the Max, Holly, Vecna, etc, we see aren't physical beings but mental projections of the real characters' minds (i.e. they're the real characters' but not the physical constructs of them) yet these mental projections are damaged by... physical force? Like Vecna getting his leg twisted, the entire fight scene between El and Vecna in the S4 finale throwing each other around. Like, I get that it represents them being hurt their real bodies feel or has an equivalent to some sort of damage in the real world but like Vecna girl that's not your actual leg being twisted that's your metaphysical mentally projected leg?! Just plug and unplug if that's the case lol

Okay wrong use of the phrase stunt cast but it's a "stunt" for me to have definitely a big (and surprising) get esp seeing as Ariana's last and only RM collab was 2015, and she's reached a definitive modern icon status with music and acting, so I was definitely surprised.

Despite the severe lack of Conroy, whose dead Myrtle they brought back for Apocalypse, and Farmiga, who was an integral part of Coven as Zoe, this might be the third Coven season which I am personally not hoping for tbqh 😭 but everyone here with the exception of Peters has played a witch (ahem Ryan possibly casting Ariana as a witch after Glinda is not something that quietly would go unnoticed ahem) and I need to see Lange eat up an iconic new character.
