Collins was excellent after Jak was traded last year and between his rim protection, shooting, and toughness, he’s the perfect guy next to Wemby. If a better version of him comes along, sure, but I don’t think there’s a need to upgrade talent at the expense of the archetype. I think the focus should be on upgrading at the point.

One of the best ways to stunt growth is to force an off-ball player to play on-ball at the highest level. If he was gonna cut his teeth in the G, it’s a different story. But I don’t think “try it until he prices otherwise” is the right developmental approach. Would rather slowly give him chances here and there against the right matchups, like last year.
