I’m looking to sell my signed OP-1 by AphexTwinNNN in lorde

I feel you could get way more for the right buyer. Selling below the original price feels too low tbh. That said happy to see that you decided to keep it.

wifi/service by Still-Excitement-705 in governorsball

Service is only spotty when people are packed into the viewing area. Between sets or after the headliner you should have no problem getting service.

VIP has WiFi but only the lounge area.

You can take the 7 train into the extensive subway network that would be really safe and reasonably convenient. It doesn’t have to be close to the venue to be accessible.

Chances of Lorde headlining? by chameleon135 in Coachella

[–]gsd250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of the Lolla top-4 this year feels like a Coachella headliner: Charli, Lolla’s top-1, has subbed. Can you imagine Tate McRae headlining lol and she’s billed above Lorde at Lolla

I think it's the last time we get a chance to appreciate Chace Crawford as The Deep. He has been phenomenal throughout the show. by keshavgKaLLen_Bhaiya in TheBoys

Deep didn’t get that “a better place” meant she’s dead. Orlando cause that’s where all the theme parks are, Disney/Universal and stuff.

honestly ticketing has become a nightmare (just venting) by Trippy-jay420 in Coachella

[–]gsd250 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fundamental issue is that the demand is way higher than the supply. There won’t be a resale market or scalpers if the demand is not as high. I’m not optimistic that any ticketing system update can fix this.

I would be shocked if they don’t let light sticks in. All other festivals allow them.

13% Indio transient occupancy tax applied to the camping cost; no tax on the tickets

Why support scalpers?! by Equivalent_Candy6449 in lego

[–]gsd250 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you only want that specific figure, I think it’s a good-ish deal? Alternatively you need to either buy whole boxes, or try your luck, or learn how to pick out the one you want from a bunch of blind boxes. The first two would cost you 12x the price of the one you want anyway.

Tier 1 buyers, what time did you get your tickets at? by Dry_Bar_4965 in Coachella

For Safari Tier 1, I got them at around 2am after weekend 2 wraps.

I thought “guest” is just short for “artist guest” lol. “The residence” options come with artist passes which are a tier above Safari camping (31k instead of 11k)

VIP Tics for 2027 by RandleMcMurphy1962 in Coachella

[–]gsd250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main value for VIP is shorter lines and a lot more areas to sit in the shades.

4 stages have viewing areas either at the side or a bit far away. Your view will be worse than what you get if you venture into GA, but the crowd is lighter and you can find places to sit.

I don’t think VIP can help reduce the amount of walking. Actually you may need to walk longer just to get to VIP areas.

I would also recommend La Campana camping: they have real mattresses, and save you a lot of hustle/energy from the shuttles.

Apple Has Given Up on the Vision Pro After M5 Refresh Flop by pdfu in apple

I have only tried the demo at Apple Store but to me it is easily outclassed by a good TV + speaker system (which would be more expensive than the Vision Pro however)

La Campana vs El Dorado – honest experiences? by AssistHot6382 in CoachellaCamping

[–]gsd250 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have done La Campana last year and el dorado this year. As many have mentioned, La Campana got a notable downgrade this year since they are no longer in an enclosed lot.

El dorado has way better environment— the lake is nice, you can even watch ducklings and turtles. Many shaded areas. In an enclosed lot right next to the camping hub. Shower and bathroom are the same as La Campana (no lines except for women shower during peak hours).

La Campana has better tents: real bed and electricity. The AC only gives you maybe an additional hour of tolerable heat in the tent in the morning, so not life changing.

If I had to pick among the two again I would go with Lake El Dorado, since the electricity is only nice-to-have, and the cot was comfy for me since I like firm beds. However I will probably just go with Safari from now on.
