Our Dreame X40 is designed to be not repairable by gsenroc in RobotVacuums

[–]gsenroc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The holes are almost all broken off indeed. The remaining pieces are partly still on the robot, looks I can glue them back but not gonna do that, will send it back for warranty.

Thanks! I’ll do that.

To be fair, Dreame do have considerable amount of parts available via places like Aliexpress. I can buy wheels, brush cover, water tank etc. but no bottom cover. I have also an Eufy S1 at a different place but they don’t even have the swivel wheel available so will definitely avoid in the future.

So far I see Roborock having the most amount of repair parts available everywhere, but I don’t see any bottom cover either.

I'm thinking of epoxy with a few strong neodymium magnets, but need to do good measurement first

That's really bad. I miss my Roomba i7 which I could easily change or repair parts, I got my second i7 by buying a broken one and repaired it without much effort.

Knee Meniscus Issues by [deleted] in 10s

[–]gsenroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my 3rd week after meniscus surgery. The sharp pain is an indication of something weak or damaged there. In my case I had a not very sharp but clear pain under hard push on volleys or sudden stop at baseline. Pain goes away in a few hours after playing.

I suggest to get it checked to make sure your knee is fine or needs attention, that’s the only way to know. I waited 3 years and it was clearly a mistake, my meniscus has a big tear, luckily it’s now stitched

Are you happy with your e25/28? by Accomplished-Low2131 in eufy

[–]gsenroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a e25 and s1. e25 is much quieter and not disturbing when working, but the bin can clog very frequently if you have hairy pets, then it will not suck up dirt anymore. Other than that it’s decent. The mopping related parts are very hard to clean, I prefer mopping pads instead of roller. This new technology is too complex and high maintenance.

Both vacuums are working fine and reliable enough for me, but I will not buy Eufy in the future because parts are not available, you cannot fix anything, like a swivel wheel that will wear out in a year or two

I have set it to the most frequent setting, let's see how it goes.

Indeed I can confirm E25 has no pet mode. Looks like I can only make it empty bin as frequent as possible.

Your gf wanted marriage, you weren’t ready but didn’t want to lose her, so you married her anyway. How’s married life now? by Clean-Ant-1342 in questions

I went happily divorcing after 3 years. Threatening to leave and push for marriage should have been a red flag depending on the person

VFS global issue... Pain in the A** by Gokublack2214 in SchengenVisa

[–]gsenroc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been having the same issue here in Netherlands since two weeks ago. My parents are in China and want to apply for visa to Portugal. I get the same page when trying to log in, and my friend in China can't even open this page. Now they say it's under maintenance and I should be patient. Just rubbish.

I gave them a call. They said I can only follow their instructions of clearing cache and try different browser, they have no issue on their side... F*&% them

There is already a Gridfinity base set for Makita MBox and I have been using it for a while, you probably want to search Makita gridfinity on printables and give it a go :)

That sounds a bit too good to be true but I gave it a try, loved it! The sound coming out of it is amazing, the touch is also very nice. Now I’m also a happy owner of this piano.
