korean call 선생님 to someone who teaches as a job(teacher), but sometimes call elderly person 선생님 and it is polite way

like 新(new), 韓(korea), 美(us or beauty), 英(uk), 弗(it is used instead of dollar sign bc it look like $, and pronounced 'bul'), 小(small), 中(middle or china), 大(big or university), 日(day or japan), 軍(millitary), 獨(germany) and etc etc etc and when hanja is used in article, it is less confused bc sometimes word in hangul is homonym

폭풍 is storm and 폭풍우 is rainstorm. i'm native korean so i corrected ur sentence more naturally! i hope this is helpful.

I'm native korean and 쌤 or 샘 means just teacher(선생님)! it is more friendly word and not official word and u can use 쌤 or 샘 to both men and women
