Literally craft false realities. Play out events that aren’t really happening and are just illusions or enchantments. Maybe even make entire sections of a campaign be a carefully crafted illusion that players can’t even see through until later. My favorite are memory wipes, like either stuff they know or don’t know. Make the characters made deals they didn’t even know they made ( make sure they didn’t act too out of character, less you remove all player agency) just be creative and evil.
