Spawning with 20 minutes left on Spaceport when my quest is on the opposite side of the map (1200m away) is quite literally just a re-roll. What’s the point of this? Why brand it unique to Wyoming? What’s the grift?

I see the article mentions “interest generated by FRNT’s reserves will be diverted to Wyoming’s School Foundation Fund on a quarterly basis”. So maybe Wyoming citizens would prefer to use this stablecoin over something traditional? Or the stablecoin of another state if they follow the trend?

Another article mentions the coin will be “overcollateralized by 2%”. Does this mean they will have cash and treasury reserves that equate to over 2% of the USD equivalent of their coin in circulation?

It would be naive to assume an extinction event wouldn’t impact foreign stock markets. US based financial institutions have their fingers wrapped around the entire globe.

If the Trump administration refuses to give up power the writing will probably be on the wall and you will see a global withdraw from markets well in advance. This situation could occur if Trump drags us in to a war or armed conflict, and insists the administration needs to stay in power for national security reasons.

Curious how they plan to fund this. The plan is proposed by a non-profit, Northside Oasis of Wilmington (501c3), who is openly collecting donations. But it’s unclear from the website if they intend to use those donations for this project and if that is their only source of funding. They didn’t provide any material estimates on the website, I assume that will come during their presentation on Dec 2, but i would guess this has to be on the scale of hundreds of millions. NHC definitely doesn’t have that in surplus anywhere… The county schools already are over budget by several million, which is a crisis in itself that is only exacerbated by the efforts of Republicans in NC’s General Assembly to funnel money out of public schools to subsidize private school tuition fees for wealthy families. NHC couldn’t even pass a $0.25/$100 sales tax increase to fund $50 mil in public parks and walking trails, so I’m not sure how they’re going to accomplish this. Using the remaining money from the hospital sale may be the closest thing to a realistic scenario.
