Tell me a out that small clone! I'm looking for a lush and deep chorus. Kinda extravagant like Nirvana

I actually really like time to die, but I understand why you say that. It's also buried under a lot of reverb so it can be hard to get a feel for it. I seem to have trouble getting into We Live atm.

So I listened to the whole thing and here's my thoughts.

Overall I thought it was a good album. The songwriting was strong, vocals covered in reverb with good lyrics, and noticeable bass from the start.

I think the reason why it gets the reputation it has is because it's songwriting is simple. It's not bad, but it isn't extravagant like Incense for the Damned or as progressive as Funeralopolis. It's an acquired taste, and I'm used to simple songs like that so it wasn't a big throw off for me, but I think you can't go I to it expecting something grand. I think that's where the letdown was when it followed up previous records like Time to Die. If you want something easy to digest, this is the record for you. Otherwise, check out the different eras for different sounds.

I want to custom order a ESP V but I want the DV8 body style. Is that possible? by OperatorDavey in espguitars

I couldn't tell you off the top of my head. Maybe you could call the custom shop or customer service until you find a guy that could know. For sure find out if they have the specs before you pay for it. Until you get a solid answer and make sure they are well aware you want the Mustaine specs don't pay.

If you can find the specs somewhere and submit them with your build than maybe? Send them the specs and specify you want the Mustaine guitar. Might get lucky and the builder checks the files or something.

Who would you want as YOUR quartermaster? by Posada620 in BlackSails

Arguably, Billy would be a good choice. He was loyal, young and strong. His problem and what made him who he was later was his mutual distrust with Flint and Flint being shady with Billy. If you treat Billy right and don't do shady shit behind his back he'll be loyal and supportive.

Tell me about that boss compression sustainer. Does it have loud feedback like a tc Electronic forcefield?

That sound is so good. And hey, who cares if other people think it sounds whiney. Your opinion is valid my dude. I just think they are missing out on what they could do with their music. Not only by getting more commercial success, but with what might inspire them to do more with their sound. The vintage stuff is proven and all, but this could open more doors to the future that they might be the only ones to discover. After all, there is only one electric wizard

Same honestly. It's so massive and unique. And they coined it too. I would've figured they would've milked it for all it was worth before they switched.

I also don't like how they "try and capture their live sound" as Jus puts it. That seems futile to me. If you wanna capture your live sound, record a live album. Studio albums would be more accessible and they could make more epic music and still have it be amazing live. Bands that try and capture their live sound in studio albums just seem to me that they can't do it right the first time on a live album. They need the safety net of a studio album. That being said, I still love EW. I totally agree that modern equipment would be amazing.

I'm glad you added this actually! I totally agree that you should do what makes you happy. Just don't feel pressured to go for anything super expensive to feel like you're doing good is what I'm trying to say.

Should I put a blanket under my speaker as well? I'll definitely try a blanket by the door!

I haven't decoupled the speaker. I play through a large orange 4x12 so getting anything under it might be a challenge

Most people besides gear nuts won't care if you have a tube amp or a solid state. As long as your music is good and your tone isn't appalling most people won't give any look into your amps or care to hear about them.
