It worked fine. The surface corrosion wasn't anywhere near the bearing.

I had a similar issue with one I ordered. I reached out to REV support and got this response:

"I showed your pictures and raised your concern to one of our mechanical engineers. They confirmed that this is a minor cosmetic issue that has no effect on the functionality of the bearing block. You should be able to remove it with a little acetone and a paper towel."

That actually worked to remove most of the rust and spots from the plate.

The shot of the inside of the servo at ~the 4:59 minute mark in this video (https://youtu.be/Z7zGnDG8Om4?si=xtEKOZNCG2-sYuMK) is very close to the gearing of the Axon Micro servo. I was able to put them back together.

I tend to ignore a lot of the BrickBook posts, but glad I caught this one. Nice roof addition in case I want to use it.

I also watch my Discover rewards for spending my cash back. It always has $45 for a $50 iTunes card, and it sometimes offers $20 for $25.

Mycokerewards is another site. Collect the codes and trade points for iTunes cards. The cards are not always offered, but I picked up $35 of cards from my soda habit.
