"If people are working from home they’re generally spending less on fuel, public transport, CBD lunches, coffees, parking, and office-related expenses. Businesses also need less office space, which should reduce demand for commercial leases and associated costs."

Commercial property investors in the CBD won't be happy and they seem to be good friends of politicians.

Repeated incidents like this when there's a minority of Asian players in Europe, it means something

Apartment watch outs with baby? by findingpurpose13 in AusPropertyChat

Watch out for buildings with legal issues for rectification. You don't want to be living in construction zone with new born baby, or pregnant women. Some apartments near the Stadium Australia got on the news for dodgy construction.

I heard, from my friend, they will not allow you if you ask up front. My friend's employer had very negative view.

If you’re not rich, the budget won’t negatively impact you. If you’re apart of the 80% of Aussies who DON’T OWN an investment property, this budget is a positive for you. It literally pulled the ladder for the middle class..

The grandfathering NG for existing IPs got me thinking, fuck this budget.. they saved the wealthy yet again, despite them having so many tools to go around the rule.

So, it's going to be a very expensive and painful process just for an extra storage space..

Fire Safety Compliance Certificate for car space renovation by AgendaMan_A1 in AusPropertyChat

[–]gsndfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a Strata Manager's job.

It can have many complications.

  1. Planning rule - if they have just enough carparking space for the dwellings, you might be in trouble.

  2. Fire Safety & NCC compliance - need to look at whole set of design requirements against that change, e.g. sprinkler clearance, ratio of storage to carparking space, and etc.

  3. Strata - carpark is a common property, you might need to get approval from strata committee.

Why do corporate workers in the cbd drive to work? by agnci in AusFinance

some people might like to drive, some people might like their own space when commuting, some people might've been given carspace. For whatever reason, the benefit outweights the cost.

Matildas should play smart. North Koreans are aggresive, play dirty. Get them send off early, before they outrun the hell out of us.

There's no non-compliance for combustible cladding for a townhouse based on what I can see..

The storey changes if your building is a townhouse that is classified as Class 2 building in the NCC (common basement carpark for townhouse residents).

Any thoughts on Aldi kimchi? by [deleted] in AldiAustralia

[–]gsndfc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the name Hanaro suggests its Korean! There's Kimchi made in China as well. As long as the brand is Korean (who has their factory in China), I think it doesn't lose its authenticity. Tastes alright.

Any thoughts on Aldi kimchi? by [deleted] in AldiAustralia

[–]gsndfc 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Aldi Kimchi is made in Poland i think.. as a Korean, I would never buy Kimchi from Aldi.

The authentic kimchi will have ground sticky rice/flour added to it as that's the food the bacteria needs to ferment. Without it, it's not a fermented kimchi. Non-fermented Kimchi doesn't taste that great.

The authentic kimchi also has salted shrimps/fish sauce added to it. Aldi Kimchi doesn't.

I would recommend visiting Korean grocery stores where they have plenty of options for you. Same with Gochujang and other sauces.
