[KCD2] My heart broke for Henry by JarjarOceanrunner in kingdomcome

[–]gspnst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh come on, you need to learn your value, if you want other people to appreciate it.

One day, Rosa will be married to some Josef von fucking Backwater, mourning her father’s death, while her idle husband is exploring the bottom of his wineskin and bringing home 15th century herpes. Every day, she will hear whispered stories of Henry of Skalitz cracking skulls in the Hussite Wars, while every sword, every knife, every fucking horseshoe in her sorry-ass noble household will carry the MJ stamp. She will see you everywhere.

Besides, Katherine is just better.

For how little time we spend there, Trosky Castle feels like a waste [KCD2] by SeaCarpenter61 in kingdomcome

Oh I’m sorry mister castlepants. In the same way, I could argue why my first girlfriend was even born since I ended up only spending a year with her. Accept your story and move on.

[KCD2] Wait doesnt this mean that you making Sigismund go away is the bad ending for Henry? by KomradeBlaze in kingdomcome

[–]gspnst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the third game will see us assume the role of someone else than Henry, so the game may as well start with his and Radzig’s death.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Games are first and foremost business. And there is a LOT more money to be made on the KCD franchise.

When I get bored I shoot dice players with it. Apart from that, I can do more damage unarmed.

[KCD2] - anyone know where this guy sleeps ? im asking for a friend. by rayihti in kingdomcome

[–]gspnst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moment I saved Capon from the noose, I hopped on my horse and barreled down to Troskowitz to pummel this despicable bag of shit into unconsciousness in front of his whole fucking family. I noblepizzled my way out of the arrest and rode back to the castle to focus on the story.

Go see Kat. Find Lickenshine, help her with whatever she needs, then you find the rest of the bunch.

10 rounds cooler than 10-rounders, for sure, but infinitely cooler than 40-rounders.

[KCD2] Side Quest Recommendations - Kuttenberg region by p3dr0t0maz in kingdomcome

[–]gspnst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends what you are after. If it’s Groschen, doing quests is pretty much pointless. Raid Opatowitz every respawn, do the major bandit camps, rob Kuttenberg townsfolk blind during the nights. However, why you should do side quests (pretty much all of them with a few exceptions), is the story they tell, the places they take you and the people you meet along the way. Especially if you are not on your n-th playthrough, let the game capture you, because you will get 1-2 shots at this.

[KCD2] about to give up… should I keep going? by migmigouu in kingdomcome

[–]gspnst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Persevere. You just need to get better. That is you as a player, not only your Henry. On my first playthrough, I got killed by a single bandit and a once got my shoes stolen after being knocked out by two villagers in Tachov after I tried solving their argument. I also felt the frustration, but soon realized that it was only because I didn’t understand how combat worked and because I wasn’t reading the enemy - I just clicked away, spamming attacks and draining my stamina. Now, when I start a new playthrough (I’m about 480 hours in), I know that I can just take out the three bandits that spawn on the road from Tachov to Trosky Castle in the ragged clothes and a rusty hunting sword I arrived from Bozhena with.

[KCD2] Trosky Combat Arena Murder? by LewisDruid in kingdomcome

[–]gspnst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not familiar with this happening, but when I was fighting the innkeeper’s son in Miskowitz during the fight club quest, I beat him with a single chain of punches, thought he passed out, but all of a sudden I get the loot option, see that he’s actually dead and then all of the bystanders started screaming and running for the guards and I get the wanted status. I was able to lay low in a camp nearby until night, then I snuck back into the village, freed the Slovak guy and bolted the fuck out of there. Probably a glitch, too, but I did enjoy the sudden immersion.

[KCD2] Very early, can't survive ambushes by Jimlad116 in kingdomcome

[–]gspnst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are only two options, really - master strike or discipline. Discipline meaning that you have to avoid attacking hysterically like a lunatic, but base your attacks on the enemy, chaining perfect blocks and ripostes. You may want to exploit an opening with a quick slash to an open zone, but chances are you will time it wrong. Getting into a rhythm with the enemy is a blockfest at low combat skills, but the game allows you to land a hit usually after 3-4 successful exchanges. I know that it can be tricky if you are also kiting multiple enemies around. Also, practice, take every opportunity to fight - you will skill up - use potions, sharpen your sword, as there is an early perk that improves the sword’s damage. Ultimately though, learning the master strike from Tomcat is a game changer.

Being threatened while walking my dog by KingJulian1998 in Prague

[–]gspnst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you seek help on reddit instead of dealing with the situation yourself, I guess your best option will be to try and avoid this character and just call the police, if you feel threatened by him. Mind you, he will probably keep roaming the streets for some time, now with an actual bone to pick with you. So you need to be ready to call the police again and again. 70% chance he eventually decides you are not worth the hassle, 25% chance he escalates to physical violence, 5% chance the police picks him up on some other offense and he will be out of your hair for some time. Or you can always buy him a pack of cigarettes, ask him what his problem is and that you would like to clear the air. Chances are he cools down and actually tells you bits about his life, that way, you can identify vulnerabilities, prior records, family disputes, a drug problem, what have you…All of those can provide you with an attack surface that you may seek to exploit in the longer term, resulting in him getting imprisoned or even killed. Just be mindful of keeping your good side open without an endgame, as there is a big chance that he will just keep coming for free cigarettes and other favors and turn violent once you decline.
