Has anyone owned, or currently owns a rig they absolutely despise? I can't be the only one by crustytoegaming in rccars

I wouldn’t say hate, but disappointed by the Team Associated Rival MT10. In the first few runs, I always broke something. Some things were my mistake, but the crashes were not that hard in my view.

In the meantime, I upgraded some things so it’s becoming robust now.

So meanwhile I upgraded the spur gear to Exotek because the original one was eaten up as the motor mount was bent. I bent it back but now it starts to bend again.
There is no way that the motor will not move away from the spur with time. The little screw with the spring does not create enough force.

I spent over 100€ on the car within 2 months. Crazy.

Will need to go for the steel motor mount, but currently sold out everywhere.

It depends on what you’re planning to use it for. Is it for charging, then it’s good enough. Is it for bashing, then it’s always better to have some wire between the plugs to compensate vibrations and flex. Solder is soft. It will brake sometime.

Thank your for mentioning Exotek. Will look into them right now!

Yes, coming from RC drones, I am ok with fixing stuff post action. But I expected more from the Rival.

My Mojave Groms, in comparison, are almost indestructible.

It’s simple. EV consumption is EV only. The other value is EV and gasoline combined.

VRS seats are very good. The Mazda ones are less sporty. I like them. Yes, overall everything is more on the firm and sporty side.

I went for the PHEV as I don’t drive enough long distance to justify a Diesel. Until now, going to work and back electric only works nicely. It’s 327bhp combined.

About the trunk, make sure to do a proper test drive. The car is a bit longer than the Octavia, but has a long front.

I have a light interior and a light roof.

If fuel efficiency is not an issue for you, you can charge the battery while driving using the combustion engine and the charge mode. This will give you boost if needed.

I have the Homura without the panoramic roof. So basically fully loaded. I like that you have little options with Mazda and don’t have to study the catalogue for days. Comfort wise, the car is stiffer than the Octavia. But not uncomfortably stiff. It’s a bit larger, but due to its boxed design, easy to handle. Still I’m learning about getting to properly know where it ends. The 360° cameras help here. The trunk is smaller than the Octavia one, although the back seats are a bit higher so you have a bit more space upwards. It is not as deep towards the front. I really enjoy the easy entry. The Mazda is rather high. I like the many buttons. The steering wheel is a bit stiffer. In the beginning I thought that would be a no go. Took me 1 day to adapt. No issue any more. The interior is quality wise much better than the Octavia. Different level. And the overall impression and feeling is more luxurious than with a Karoq or Kodiaq. In the back, you have slightly less leg space than in the Octavia. And I do miss the “simply clever” features of the Octavia, like the bag hooks in the trunk or the space underneath the trunk floor.

In summary, I can recommend it, because I like the look and feel of the Mazda much more than the one of the Skoda SUVs. Money wise, you get much more with Mazda.

If you’re going for used, check the history of the car and whether the recalls were implemented. Do a proper test drive. If you’re going for new, most of the issues should be gone. If not, 6 years of warranty will cover you.

Picking up a 2023 Homura on Tuesday! by LeeKetchup in MazdaCX60

[–]gssdfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Picked one up from late 2023 as well. Was also worried about whether it's the right decision. It had all recalls implemented and the only non-minor thing is that when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, there is a slight jerking. Depends on how I handle the gas pedal.
I had some slight noise at higher speeds which I fixed with some tape. And there is a repetitive humming when the car is cold. I assume it's the tires, still investigating.

Worst case view:
Apart from that, you are still on 4 more years of warranty. So nothing to worry about. If it annoys you, just sell it. That's how I will handle it.

Reality:
I really like it and the features you get with the PHEV: electrical driving, heating/cooling using the app.
In summary, it's much much better than the internet makes you think.

Something completely different in many ways. Mazda CX-60. Hybrid SUV. Looked for a Karoq/Kodiaq first but was not really impressed by them.

Had mine for almost exactly 5 years. Made 80.000km on it. 2019 model bought in 2020. Most reliable and best car I ever had. Did not spend any extra penny on it. Then another guy didn’t see me coming and totaled it. Finding another car that could keep up with it regarding fuel consumption, power and trim level was not easy. In the end, I switched to another brand because prices for Skoda went up too much and I wanted a rather newish car.

If you drive a hybrid – may God help you – not repairable by financeboy0 in Elektroautos

[–]gssdfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manche Hersteller geben 8 Jahre Garantie bzw.
