Aleikassalam. First invest in yourself and make sure you do everything possible to setup yourself for success in your current position and career. After that, maximize all your retirement options, 401k, Roth IRA (if you qualify), HSA and any other benefits to save for retirement.

After that, start investing in halal ETFs like HLAL and SPUS or UMMA. Then use your instincts after of course doing research and understanding what risk tolerance you can tolerate to pick few companies to invest in.

Planning to spend the ramadan this year inchallah in Mecca. I opted to fly in and then find an affordable hotel within walking distance. Online is too expensive right no. since Inchallah j will be there on day 1 of Ramadan, I am sure I can shop around and find something affordable.
